Questions & Answers

Isn't it true that you can use the same battery pack for both headlights?

To be sure, After that, I was able to go over both of them and found that I had plenty of material. I have an E70 X5 with fairly large headlights, and the kit worked perfectly.

Is there a refill kit available so I don't have to purchase a new drill attachment kit?

You should be able to get individual replacements from 3M. However, the price of this kit is difficult to beat. With one kit, I was able to make two cars.

What do I require in terms of equipment?

You'll require a drill to complete this task. There were some specifications for how good it had to be (I forget what they were), but I was fine with a 12v Ryobi.

I don't know what to think. It says 2 pack on the box. I placed an order and received a single kit. Is it true that a single kit contains two? On the package, it specifies that there is one kit. Is it possible that I was underserved in my order?

When I got my order today, I had the same problem. Contacted Amazon Customer Service via chat, and the cost of the item was refunded. I've also informed them of your situation, and Amazon will be in touch with the seller. br>br>I got lucky; a single kit is on sale for $10, and I'm going to order another one with the leftover money.

This is a do-it-yourself project that will not let you down
5/5

This is an excellent product. I don't usually write reviews or post photos, but this product far exceeded my expectations. My 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe's highlights had become hazy to the point of being distracting; It's fun to drive and look at at the same time. So I estimated that getting them restored would set me back more than $70. Of course, my brain said, "Fuck that, let's DIY it," and I had Pinterest flashbacks right away! I chose the 3M kit after reading many reviews and watching many YouTube videos. Due to the size and extent of damage in my headlights, I purchased two kits, as suggested by the reviews. I was ready to get started after receiving the kits and reading the instructions hundreds of times (again, YouTube). br>I framed the headlight with painter's tape, and I already had a cordless drill, so I was good to go! When you first begin, you may have doubts about your judgment and whether or not you made the correct decision. No worries; it will work out and keep the drill moving over the headlight at all times. I'll tell you that the first step in the sanding process is the most important; if you take your time and are thorough with this step, the rest of the process will be much easier! br>It took me about a day to complete a headlight, primarily because I needed to recharge the drill (Harbor Freight was under $20). I went to Wal-Mart and bought some UV headlight spray. Once I was finished, I asked Mart to seal the headlight. I did use one kit per headlight, which is something I would recommend. Overall, your time and energy are the only significant investments. The end result was well worth the time and effort!.

Keep these on hand at all times, use this kit once a year, and you'll get perfect results every time
5/5

I bought my first 3M headlight cleaning lens kit a long time ago (many years) and it worked flawlessly every time. The kit lasted me all that time until I abused it and needed to replace it. Once a year, I polish our cars' headlights, and our cars (12-year-old and up) are in good condition. Every year, the headlights appear to be replaced on the 15-year-olds. At work, I've parked next to newer cars with cloudy headlights, and one of my coworkers has a car with a cloudy headlight. My coworkers have inquired as to how I maintain my appearance, so let's get started. )br>br>Instructions - According to the instructions, you should sand out the large scratches with sandpaper first. That's what I did the first time, but I've since learned that it's not necessary unless you have large, deep scratches. I begin by applying polishing compound to a sponge and smearing it around the headlight (I buy it in a bottle). Then, for a few minutes on low speed, run the sponge over the light with the drill. I take a break and let the polishing compound dry until it's mostly dry, then I run the drill at medium speed for a few minutes (without cleaning off the polishing compound in the sponge) until I've thoroughly "polished" the entire lens. After that, I'll wipe away the polishing compound and see if it needs to be done again. I'll re-evaluate if the weather is still cloudy. Use rubbing compound (rubbing compound has a coarser grit and is more aggressive than polishing compound). When I'm finished, I put the drill adapter and sponge pad back in their original packaging.

Very good outcomes
5/5

I've tried both the conventional and non-conventional approaches. Drill lens restoration systems are either ineffective or necessitate upper-body endurance training. Even then, things aren't looking good. br>br>While this is more expensive than most, it is extremely effective in restoring the lens' clarity. It also prevents arm pain for the next two days. The instructions were clear and the results were excellent. The process is fairly simple once you've mastered the technique. br>br>Appears to be required approximately once every 1. In Colorado, we've had our cars for two years. Other systems are no longer a waste of time, money, or arm torture for me.

It was a success
5/5

On the Project Farm YouTube channel, I saw a comparison video. It persuaded me, and it will most likely persuade you as well. My old headlights were the source of all the haze. There are some very deep scratches embedded in the unit, which I am not attempting to remove because it is now 12 years old. All I had to do was clean up the headlamp beam. It worked exactly how it was supposed to. Simply follow the instructions to get the best results.

I'm pleased with the outcome - pictures to back it up After almost ten years, the headlights on our RX350 had dimmed significantly, and we were considering replacing them
5/5

I double-checked the price and it turned out to be $145 per person, plus installation. I did some research and discovered that there are several different types of restoration toolkits. br>After reading the reviews and ratings, I decided to give it a try. I was skeptical at first, but I went ahead and placed an order anyway. br>I followed the instructions to the letter (which I found to be a little too detailed and confusing at times), but the results were unexpectedly good. Well, it's better to see it once (pictures attached)br>If I had to do it all over again, I would not hesitate to use 3M's product; I highly recommend it.

Kit is fantastic
5/5

I'd purchase it again. My son's 2005 Ford F-150 was repaired. 150 The lights were in appalling condition, and I mean appalling condition. They now look fantastic thanks to this kit. As suggested by another reviewer, I purchased one kit for each headlight. I wouldn't have been able to finish the job if I hadn't done that. I'd never tried polishing headlights before, but the kit was simple to use, came with clear instructions, and it worked. I would also recommend an electric drill rather than a battery drill because the battery drill will be unable to meet the demand.

However, it works extremely well
3/5

This worked perfectly and exactly as expected. Because of the way the buffing cream was packaged, I only gave it three stars. Although there is enough cream to easily do an excellent job on the lens 2X, it is packaged in a small tear pouch. The issue is that you must devise a method of keeping the torn corner upright while applying it to the lens, or the contents will spill out. You should also tape up the opening and secure it with a clip if you don't use it all. br>This is a very inconvenient way to package the cream, and if 3M wants 5 stars, they should put it in a tube or a bottle with a cap so that a person can easily squeeze the dime-size drop and set it aside while working on the lens.

The most comprehensive restoration kit available! Also, don't forget to get some headlight sealer
5/5

This is something I've done before and it's fantastic! It works! You can avoid spending hundreds of dollars on new headlights by following these simple steps. The only problem is that if you don't "seal" your headlights, they'll gradually return to their original state. Headlight sealer is available from some companies, so be sure to get that as well! However, for restoration, this is without a doubt the best kit.
