The holes where the headlamp slide pin goes in and through at the top had to be drilled out for my factory pins, and the lights were loose at the bottom where they clip in, so I had to silicone all four spots, let it dry, and then the headlights were tight and wouldn't wiggle in the bracket.
I got it all put together only to discover that the headlight assembly's locking pin was too large to fit through the holes. I used a drill bit that was slightly smaller than the pin to ream the holes out by hand, ensuring that I didn't over side them. It worked out in the end, but a direct for OE part shouldn't need to be modified to fit.
These are what I used to replace the headlight mounts on my 2005 Silverado. br>Originals suffered from 15 years of exposure to the Arizona sun and heat. (Cracked)br>All of the holes were perfectly aligned. It took me 20 minutes to replace both of them.
WAS NOT DUE FOR ANOTHER 20 DAYS, AND IT JUST CAME IN TODAY! SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE THIS IS AMAZING FOR A PARENT WHOSE CHILD IS OBSESSED WITH HIS FIRST VEHICLE!.
Works great, though I had to slightly enlarge the mount hole to get the pins in, but overall this is a fantastic product.
All of my bolts and screws are in perfect working order. The holes on the top needed to be enlarged by drilling them out a little, but I was aware of this and prepared. Simple. They improve the fit of my headlights a lot. I'm in a good mood right now.
I drilled them out quickly and they worked perfectly!.
