They will, in fact, collaborate. Between them, there's a grille.

Is this compatible with a JKU from 2014?

I am not sure but I would say yes , lights should be the same and the rim of plastic just fits inside with double sided tape .

Is it better to go with matte or gloss black?

Matte black comes to mind. I figured the shine would fade after a few years.

They appear to be attractive, but they will not adhere to the surface

On the inside, there's a small lip that allows them to protrude another 2mm or so from the grill. The 3M tape that was applied to the inside of the bezel, on the other hand, will not come into contact with the grill paint. Only a few points on the circumference of the rings will make contact with the adhesive, and when I take a step back to look at them, they will fall off. If I go buy some thicker weather strip adhesive, I think they'll be fine; if I tried to make them work as shipped, they'd come zinging off in a carwash before I even got that far on the highway. They're gloss black, so they don't go with the matte Rugged Ridge headlight rings, so I'll be returning them. My grill inserts, on the other hand, are mostly glossy and work well with them.

It was a little difficult to set up

To begin with, each of these has a right and left side. Before you apply, make sure you try on the clothing. The shape is unique, and if it is not properly positioned, it will result in a gap. br>Aside from that, it's a fantastic product that adds a nice finishing touch.

The fit and finish are exactly as described. It looks fantastic! Make sure they're in the right place; the flange that goes back into the recession has a wider and narrower side. Before removing the 3M sticky backing, figure this out.

It's more car-like than tractor-like

Normally, I wouldn't add aftermarket items to my Jeep JK just to change the way it looks, but this product does give the parking light mounting a more "finished" look. The stock Jeep front looks like it belongs on a farm.

Seller's Remark - You should have if you're a group of guys or a group of girls

Seller's Remark - You guys and gals should have marked say with a yellow pointer the alignment "arrow to top" because once the backing tape is off it is tricky to then align 100%. Buyers - Before you remove the backing tape, make a note of where you want it to go. Cleaning swabs, by the way, were not included in the box. These are required in order 100% for 100% them to stick.

My daughter-in-law received these as a gift, and I was able to see the final product. Law's jeep is orange, and she thought the Headlight trim would complement it nicely. She was correct in her assessment. It really draws attention to the car's headlights and front end.
