Questions & Answers
To install my Third Brake Light Wheel, I simply removed the spare tire and inserted it into the light, as well as purchasing a small box of T-nuts. Tap connectors are simple to use and don't require wire cutters; simply remove the four tork screws from the back cover of your existing third brake light and connect red to red and black to black with the T-connectors. tap conn. br>All I have to do now is make sure the connection is close to my existing third brake light, so the cover will be protected from rain and snow.
Fits 2007–2017 offroad Jeep Wranglers with all 16–20 Inch Rim Diameter Wheels,Works with 5x5, 5x4, according to the description. 5, 5x5. Patterns for 5 inch lugs. You'll need to take a measurement of your bolt pattern. I slots are large enough to accommodate the sizes mentioned.
It should work fine because it is mounted behind the spare and is powered by the third brake light's wires. I removed the entire 'tower' of my third brake light. The wires were cut and the LED ring was spliced in.
I don't think there's any reason why it shouldn't be done. This is what I have on my 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sport, and I highly recommend it!

After less than 5 months, I discovered that only half of the lights are operational! Who knows how long they've been out for? This product is not recommended. br>br>Waste of $$$$br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>b Suparee provided a replacement at no cost to me. This morning, I put it in place. In a few months, I'll keep an eye on it and provide an update. *****Updated on 10/26/20: After a year, there have been no problems with the new light, which has performed flawlessly. The star rating has been updated to five. Suparee, thank you so much!.
My third tail light is one of my favorites. It was extremely simple to set up. I am a 70-year-old woman who did it all by myself, with the exception of removing the tire, which my husband did. It only took me about 10 minutes to install, and it's a fantastic addition to my new Jeep.
It was simple to put together, has a good amount of brightness, and appears to be well constructed. The issue I'm having, and it's partly my fault, is that my Jeep's wheels are 15 inches in diameter. As a safety precaution, I wanted to include this in my spare. The third brake light was missing from my YJ Jeep Wrangler. As a result, I had to start all over again. It was simple to run the wires and connect everything. The problem was that the LED light ring's diameter didn't match the holes in the wheels I had, so it just sat behind the solid part of the wheel. As a result, at night, the light is not visible. It's partly my fault, but the overall diameter of the unit is listed, and it fits into my 15-inch wheel. However, there is no information about the size of the LED light ring. Before making a purchase, I should have asked questions and double-checked. I'll have to come up with something else. I believe that including the actual diameter of the light ring in the product description would assist customers in determining whether or not this is the right unit for their wheels. Because of my oversight, I did not give this product a low rating. It received a higher rating because it performs as expected and appears to be well constructed.
It took me about ten minutes to hook up this bad boy. It was completed by removing the existing third tail light plug and crimping some longer wires to the tire LED light's existing wires. It looks fantastic after putting some wire conduit around it. I was actually impressed by the light itself, which isn't just a circle of bulbs as shown. The LEDs are actually hidden behind a smoked cover, giving it a very clean appearance. When the lights are turned off, you can't see it at all, which is a nice touch.
I have to give five stars again for the ease of installation and excellent results. Nothing I came across was deserving of a star. With aftermarket 15" wheels on my 2003 Jeep Wrangler TJ, I guess I'm lucky. The rear tire mount is identical to stock, but it is raised to accommodate my larger diameter tires. The fit is perfect, and all you have to do now is connect the red wire to the third brake light white wire and the black wire to the third brake light black wire. Don't make the same mistake I did and leave the back gate open while testing. The contacts for the third brake light are placed in such a way that you must close the gate in order for them to work, you moron! Of course, I was cursing the thing and double-checking my wiring until I realized my folly. It's a great addition, and it's as bright as h3, so it'll help you stay safe!.
A few weeks ago, a friend noticed that one of the light fixtures was broken. I removed it and examined it, but it was never functional. I figured I'd contact the company to see if the item was covered by a warranty or if they could assist me in resolving the problem. I received a response within a few hours, stating that they would gladly send me a replacement and that I could please send a picture of the one I was wearing so the technical team could review it. I received a tracking number two days later, and a replacement arrived via UPS the next day. That's what I'm talking about when it comes to customer service. br>This spare tire brake light has gotten a lot of positive feedback. If you've been considering buying it, now is the time.
Simple and low-cost Any Jeep without a spare tire cover will look great with this buck mod. The product I received didn't work properly at first (some segments wouldn't light up), but the seller was fantastic and quickly sent me a replacement unit, which works perfectly. br>br>There were two options when I purchased this: with or without the plug-in. Wiring that plugs and plays Due to the fact that this unit isn't DOT-approved, I wanted to keep the factory third-taillight and use this in conjunction with it, not in place of it, so I wouldn't have any concerns when it came time for the state inspection. Others have said that the plug-in is useful. Because plug-and-play wiring would allow me to use this light ring in place of the factory third brake light, I decided to purchase the non-and-play version. plug- Instead of buying a plug-and-play version, I purchased a weatherproof quick disconnect, which I soldered into the factory wiring, allowing the ring to be easily unplugged without causing any other issues. It was a success!.
It could be a little more colorful. After one day, everything seems to be going well. By itself, it wasn't difficult to set up. It's sandwiched between a Teraflex HD tire carrier and a Yakima bike rack mount plate on my roof rack. It's nicely balanced. Cutting the wires from my old third brake light and connecting them to the new one with crimp connectors was all it took. The LEDs, while plentiful and functional, aren't as bright as my LED main lights (do they have a smoke plastic cover over them?). ), but there is an air of coolness about it that is palpable. The Yakima bike rack would have neatly hidden the TBL relocation bracket that came with the Teraflex, so this is a viable alternative.
