Questions & Answers

What is the fitment of this to ?

There is no fit for it Thanks a lot

Does the kit with the smoked lenses have a lot of brightness?

Quite a bit of light is shining through it. You can safely use it on the street, there's no doubt about that. I also like the look of this part.

Could you tell me the part number of the replacement bulb or where I can ?

The tail light on the DRZ400 is good, but there are a few problems
4/5

It should save you quite a bit of time to find out how to make this light work on a DRZ400, because this review will explain how to make it work. The product does not come with QUANTITY and MOUNTING A pair of M6 - size screws will be needed Various images here). This item does not come with these parts. As I mentioned in the preceding paragraph, I used two screws that I had left over from uninstalling the stock light. However, I had to shave down the captive washer on the one side of each screw to make them You'll find it far easier to install two M6 screws without washers if you buy two M6 screws without washers. NOTE ON DRZ400SM TAIL LIGHT WIRING (USA 2019) There is plenty of brightness, it looks great, and it is well constructed. As well as the key tag, it comes with a Suzuki sport bike. There is a relatively quick delivery from China to the east coast of the United States (about ten days). In a video I will post on youtube that demonstrates everything I have said (search for my channel by dankeifer).

It's okay to me but others may not like it, I don't mind the holes
5/5

One of the biggest complaints with this product is the holes for installation. I am not sure how to attach the factory brake lights to this thing. There is no easy way to sandwich washers to get a snug fit, and you have to run the cables behind the mount. It is awkward in a way. My eyes have been drawn to other kit designs that are machined with larger holes for neatly running the bolts and cables. they've addressed the problem with missing hardware, as my bracket arrived with some brackets that allow it to be mounted flat without requiring the additional bolts mentioned in another review. * The wiring diagram is not included but the previous comment is correct. ***Note the color code scheme, black with white stripes equals black, white with black stripes equals green, grey equals red. One minor problem I had is that when I hooked up the light, no matter how I wired it, it would not turn on. I found out my pedal brake switch had shifted due to some off-roading and my brake light was always Once I got this wired up, I realized this wasn't obvious. Fixing the issue required reaching under the bike to the switch that activates the brake and ensuring it was rotated into the correct position. Because the switch is reversed, when the brake light is turned on the brake light comes on. It is necessary to rotate the switch so that the bolt presses it completely Whatever the case, the tail light and mount are fine, although I've seen others that mount above the frame between the plastic and frame making the light appear I don't see any way to do that if you're using factory signals with this kit. Whatever the case, I really like it, and indeed, I think it can withstand abuse well.

Good, but there is work to be done
4/5

I was able to modify the light so that it worked, but it required an excessive amount of work. The accessories are for the DRZ 400S, which is what I own. There is a 400SM marking on the unit, so perhaps that is what makes a In order to install washers in the large turn signal holes, washers had to be inserted. It took a lot of JB welding to fix them. As the spacers were too large, I fabricated shorter ones to offset the bracket from the bottom. There is no mounting point on the front of the plate, so I removed it. It looks good and works well once it is in place and wired. I really like the bright lights and the unit is a terrific addition to this bike. As long as you are handy at all, it shouldn't be an issue. The problem is that it takes some effort.

I've tried it on a klx400 and it works great
5/5

The fact that I intend to modify this product was not lost on me when I purchased it. To get the bracket to fit tightly to the frame, I followed the reviewer's tip to use the hole saw. As well as drilling new holes, I also had to drill new ones to move the brake light I also found it very helpful when the wires were detailed. My light and bracket are of very high quality, and I am pleased with the way the project turned out. have installed this light on a 2003 klx400 and I would highly recommend it for this bike, as well as the Drz400. In my case, I was able to program this to work with the hardware that came with it.

It now includes a hardware kit as well
5/5

Until December 2020, the bracket I bought was delivered with additional hardware and spacers to make it fit without additional hardware being needed. As a result, I did not use the light since I had a similar style on a wooden bracket that fell apart. It is built well and angles the plate outward at an angle so it does not interfere with the rear tire. It is recommended that the wires go into the light housing at an angle, to keep water and mud out while off-roading.

There are some mods to make it fit better
4/5

Spacers are not needed. Put a 5 in front of it. The hole saw is 5 inches in diameter. Make sure the small hole at the end is in the center. Here is a photo of it (see). Added to the fender, now it fits closer to the wheel. I have a 2002.

This is an almost perfect image
5/5

The quality and brightness are both perfect. It is only when the brakes are applied that something is amiss. You cannot make it brighter for people to know that you are putting the brakes on. Look closely at the brake pedal to see a small LED light blinking when the brakes are pressed, but you would have to be within a foot of this light.

I like the new bike more than the old one
4/5

I bought it to fit my 2004 Drz400. To ensure a proper fit, spacers were included. I was able to do it quite easily due to wiring instructions from other buyers. Until I swapped bikes and was riding behind my Suzuki bike I didn't notice how ugly the big fender was. There is only one thing you need to buy to be able to use the blinker. A further 20 dollars.
