The answer is no. Your truck's wiring harness has sockets and wires that connect to them. Taking the sockets out and plugging them back in to your new receptacle is all that's needed. As soon as they twist out, they fall apart.

No, this is just a housing issue. In addition to using the existing screws from your vehicle, you will also need to use the light and wiring harness already installed.

It doesn't have a harness, the bulbs are red, and the light isn't connected

Light bulb and harness were not included with this product. I would describe it as a lighter shade of red. The Dorman brand I bought was cheaper and had a darker red shade of harness and bulbs.
