Questions & Answers
They won't fit if you replace the stock rear lights with LEDs. That is precisely what occurred in my case.
JKU taillights are the only ones that will work. The JLU's design has changed, and there are now two distinct JLUs.
Not at all, I believe.
To mount the light to the body, the screws go through the lens and body of the light. So I believe they would, but depending on the light, longer screws may be required. For some reason, it utilizes screws rather than bolts. Even the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) was a jerk.

Although many people have complained about the lack of instructions, the installation is fairly self-explanatory. One thing to keep in mind is that the longer screws should go on the outside and the smaller screws should go on the inside, as the smaller screws were almost too short to reach the pre-drilled holes. It worked fine after all the screws were in the drilled hole. I'm a big fan of the style. It's a fun addition to a jeep, in my opinion. Also, make sure you're not putting them on the wrong side; one of the sides has a distinct angle, so double-check the fit and make sure they're not on the wrong side.
It was very simple to put on; if I remember correctly, it took me about 10 minutes. I believe I spent more time admiring my Jeep than I did actually driving it, but that's a Jeep thing. Anyway, it fits snugly around the light and gives the factory tail lights a rugged appearance.
I was hesitant to order because of some negative reviews and the lower price, but I looked at the name brand ones, which were more than double the price and some triple the price, and they all rusted. I'll take it if it can last a few years. enables me to put the money saved towards other Jeep purchases. Because the instructions were largely useless, I simply held them up to the light to determine which was right and which was left. You can tell because it has a slight curve that matches. It's finished, and I'm satisfied.
Because the screws that came with the covers didn't fit, I'm going to steer clear of this company in the future. With the spacers provided, the stock screws were easily reinstalled. The quality is barely passable - Although the taillights appear to be in good condition, closer inspection reveals that the metal is unevenly cut and wavy in places. What you pay for is exactly what you get. In any case, it's not much.
The item is of excellent quality. It fit perfectly over an aftermarket led taillight, but the screws that came with the lights were too small for the jeep mounting nut plates. They were the correct length, but they appeared to be a size 6 rather than a size 8, which is the original factory nut plate size. I couldn't use the factory screws because they were too short, so I had to go to the hardware store. Nonetheless, they are attractive and provide adequate protection for the lenses.
1). It appeared that this item had been reshipped. The box had to be re-opened. 2) it came with no instructionsbr>3) it was taped shut and crushed. One of the corners of the product had rubbed away. br>br>I'm sure some buyers will accept this, but I expect something new to be fresh and new when I buy it. br>br>Having said that, the shipper was extremely accommodating and is returning my package to me.
The larger screws were a tad too large - I thought I'd break the taillight housing. Because the head of the second screw stripped while I was trying to install it, I had to revert to the original screws. I'm still worried that they won't be able to keep everything in place because they're only just big enough to grab the threads. I'm sure it'll fall out with time. br>br>Looks- The cover, on the other hand, is absolutely fantastic. The matte black color is a favorite of mine.
I am blown away. The color and shape of the metal is consistent. Yes, there aren't a lot of instructions. However, if you're the type of person who modifies their Jeep. Unscrew the screws and you're good to go. Backlights should be placed over. Replace the screws. Done. It only took me 10 minutes and it turned out beautifully! They're purely decorative, which is why I bought them.
