Tail light covers that are well-made and do not feel cheap in the hand. The stormtrooper's cutout is precise and well-done. br>br>Unfortunately, the screws that came with the product did not fit my 2011 Jeep Wrangler, and when I tried to install it, they stripped the holes. The OEM screws were too short to accommodate the spacers and covers, so I couldn't use them. "Buy screw X and screw Y and it will work perfectly," said another reviewer. "Unfortunately, in a 25-mile radius, there are no stores. " These screws were found in a mile radius of Mesa, AZ, so keeping them was pointless. Unfortunately, the product had to be returned.
I've had mine for about 6 months now, and I love the design. The coloring, however, is now turning a brown/rust color, as I've noticed in some of the other recent reviews. For the time being, it's all about the stars. The rest of the room is still completely dark. I'm thinking about removing the covers and painting them black with Rustoleum, but I'm disappointed that they haven't held up better after only a few months.
Alternatively, a trip to the hardware store may be in order. I thought it was a nice touch to wear this. The screws are the incorrect type, as they have flat ends that have been cut off. It's irritated me to no end because it replaced the screw bases on the side with short ones that don't go in the body with clips on the left. I mean, what does it take to send the correct screws? In the last year, I have never had so many issues with this garbage. Now who's going to pay for me to get a new one because of this third world?.
Despite what others have said, the screws do not strip during installation. The screws on the outside of the taillight are larger than those on the inside, and there are two large and two small screws provided for the plates. Striping is avoided by simply matching the screw sizes.
I'd like to point out that it looks significantly better than the stock and factory brake lights. Because not many cars have customizable lights like Jeep Wranglers, you'll definitely stand out and possibly attract some attention. It was very simple to put together; however, be aware that when unscrewing them, the entire light may fall off. The only issue I had was that the screws that came with it didn't fit my car, but that was easily solved by using stock screws. Overall, this is an excellent product that is well worth your money.
This will be thrown away. br>br>Edited to add: They emailed me twice, and I responded both times. It's obvious that it's not someone from the United States because the English is terrible. They haven't responded to my emails about how to make things right on either occasion. They simply send an automated email in poor English. GET OUT OF HERE!.
The powder coating looked great and seemed to last a long time. They've been on for a while now, but I still think they're a great buy. As others have stated, mine has not yet rusted. Scrubbing and a tub of bed liner are all that's required to fix the problem.
