Questions & Answers
Essentially, this is what they are. Metal that is quite heavy and thick.
Your taillights aren't made the same way as everyone else's. Only the jk/jku models are compatible with these. They have four screw holes on each tail light, whereas Gladiators don't.
These covers simply screw into the holes in the corners of JK/JKU tail lights. Screws in the corners like these do not exist in JL. The majority of JL covers are attached to the tail light with 3M tape.

The fact that it was so heavy surprised me. They appear to be long lasting. For the price, I expected a lot less; they were relatively simple to install but came with no instructions. The only catch was that they came in two sizes: For the screw holes on the outside, there is only one size. I didn't realize it at first, but there was an inside one. I accidentally put them in the wrong holes because they were in the same bag with no description. When they couldn't be worn because they didn't fit I discovered the issue after a thorough examination. Once the correct screws are in place, installation is a breeze.
My main complaint is that they don't provide black screws, which make them stand out like a sore thumb. As a temporary fix until I can find replacements or paint the heads, I used a black laundry marker to scribble on them. br>I must say, these appear to be well-made and sturdy.
The standard reverse light is missing from my Jeep. It comes with an aftermarket light that isn't flat. The long screws that came with the plate, on the other hand, allowed me to place it on top of the non-stick surface. a level surface It all came together in the end. br>br>In Pennsylvania, my vehicle would not pass inspection. So that my inspection wouldn't fail, I had to take them out before I went in. Just wanted to give you a heads-up on something.
My only complaint is that the screws are silver instead of black or black tipped, which would be a nice touch. It would have a much nicer and cleaner appearance. It can be fixed with spray paint, but it would be nice if it could be installed right out of the box.
It was fairly simple to install, which is a good thing because there were no instructions included. Just remember that there are two screw sizes, one for the long side of your tail light and the other for the short side. The supplied spacers worked flawlessly, and the fit is excellent.
Just wanted to give you a heads up on something - The screws will be silver rather than black. br>I just blacked out the screws and white spacers with a rattle can - It appears to be much better now. br>The larger screws are also used on the light's outside edges.
Because the screws came in two sizes, only one size fits the holes, you may need to replace them. If you use spacers, the stock screws will be too short.
I like how the flag lights up when the brakes are applied because these light covers are very heavy and will definitely protect the lenses from brush and other debris.
