Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
Lights Dim Over Time, Replace in Pairs: Your lights are a pair, and you should never turn one on without the other. If one bulb goes out, the other will soon follow.
LEDs provide immediate illumination, unlike incandescent bulbs. The added safety benefit of this "instant-on" technology is that it gives drivers around you more time to react.
Superior Performance: Sylvania LEDs are made with SMD LED bulbs that are bright and long-lasting, as well as a thermal management system that extends the life and improves performance.
A load equalizer or resistor may be required for optimal performance to help prevent hyper flashing and bulb out warnings. The Load Equalizer from Sylvania is a good example.
Sylvania is the world leader in automotive lighting for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and the aftermarket, having been in business for over 100 years.

Questions & Answers

Will these fit a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara I Limited as a dome light replacement? Others I bought turned on, but they were dimmer than the old ones?

This is the place to go if you have any questions about lighting. All of this is based on my own personal experience with attempting to lead your interior/external lighting efforts. br>In my opinion, Selkers don't need this information, but it should be included anyway. br>They don't because they don't know or, worse, don't care, despite the fact that they are fully responsible for their product.br>OK, hold on, this isn't going to be easy. Some of their responses are true (can you believe it? ), based on my experience with several older whips. )br>The most difficult part is the interior; IF YOU HAVE A PRE-LED OEM VEHICLE, YOU ARE IN FOR EXPERIMENTATION AND MAYBE FAILURE, WHICH MEANS BATTERY DRAIN! br>Many more led stick lights are simply not functional. You name it: capacitors, load, backup systems, manufacturing flaws, and so on. br>Shouldn't be so difficult; there is far too much information not shared with you, the consumer, because of the price and the need for a quick upgrade for a critical item, lights. I understand because I've done this on three to five older vehicles and it's a pain in the neck. While this may not directly assist you, it is more honesty than you will receive from any of these Sellers. br>Tough, some replacements may work, but many will not, especially if there is no battery drain. The interior, on the other hand, is the most unpredictable. br>I wish you the best of luck. Let these Selkers know that they are deceitful, ignorant, and all of the above!

What makes these different from the zevo? Is it true that the zevo is brighter?

The ZEVO line of bulbs from Sylvania provides a brighter, more crisp light than standard bulbs.

Is the color of these leds white, like a 6000k HID headlight, or more yellowish white, like the original bulbs?

It is a white led, not a yellow one.

Is this compatible with a 2012 Honda Crv's map light?

I'm not sure, but I believe it will fit an Isuzu 2004-2006 model. Dome lighting from 2006

The only 31mm festoon lamp that will work with Toyota's switched cargo lamp
5/5

Forget about the LED-mounted circuit boards on festoon lamps. They won't work on many Toyotas with side-switched rear cargo lamps, such as the Prius, Venza, and Rav4. When the switch rotates the end when it is in the on position, the wide circuit board gets in the way. turn off the function Only bulbs that match the OEM incandescent festoon bulb's round slim form factor will work. Those circuit board LED festoon lamps bend when installed between the spring clips in other applications, such as dome lights in Toyotas and Nissans, and the unreported thin circular metal pan shaped ends collapse with the slightest pressure required to insert them. br>br>I purchased two sets of two circuit board type festoon LEDs, both of which had the same issue as described. While they are less expensive than Sylvanias, the Sylvanias' functionality and quality make them worthwhile.

Junk, broken, and fragile - these are the words that come to mind when you think of junk
3/5

3 out of 3 items are defective! These bulbs are a complete waste of money. Purchase is not recommended. I originally ordered two of these to replace the bulbs for my license plate, and they are either the most fragile bulb on the planet or they were shipped defective. I installed both of them, but only one of them works. So I'm wondering if I have a wiring issue, because a brand new LED bulb can't possibly be defective, right? Using my multimeter, I confirm that the bulb is receiving 12V. As a result, this bulb is faulty. So I order a third bulb and install it, only to discover that there is still no light. I run another test and get 12 volts this time. So I'm wondering if there's a problem with running two LED bulbs, so I'm going to unplug the one that's working and see if that helps - nothing. Then I try switching the working bulb to the other side to make sure it's not an electrical problem, and as I remove the bulb, it falls out and drops about four inches, rolls onto the tailgate, and I catch it with my shirt. There are only a few inches between us and the ground! I put it back in the side where it used to work, and WHAM! It doesn't work anymore! I adjust the contacts to ensure they are in good working order and use a multimeter to confirm 12V through the bulb. Three of the three bulbs were defective, and the whole thing was a waste of money. I went to Walmart and purchased a filament bulb from the 1970s. I guess I'll wait until these burn out again in a few years before trying any more LED bulbs. As you can see in the photo, the voltage is 12 volts, but the bulb is not lit.

Not even close to a regular filament bulb in terms of brightness
3/5

This was purchased to replace the dome light in my mother's Toyota Camry. Despite the fact that it is the correct size, it does not make good contact with the electrical pins and requires some back-and-forth pushing. and-again to get it to turn on When it's turned on, it produces a white light (which is exactly what I was looking for), but it's still dim and not much brighter than a regular filament bulb that's been in use for years.

My Infiniti G35 interior lights now have bright bulbs
5/5

These LED bulbs replaced my old incandescent bulbs, and they produce a much brighter white light. When I first installed the bulb, I thought it was broken, but after reading that these LED bulbs must be inserted with the proper polarity, I switched the bulb's orientation and it worked fine; another oddity was that when they were turned on to off, they would dimly glow for about an hour before completely darkening. Following a search on LED, I found several articles that stated that the phosphor layer of a LED bulb stores energy that is discharged over a finite period of time, so it isn't a big deal. I didn't notice this when I put them in during the day; it was only at night that I noticed the effect. Finally, these bulbs performed admirably, and I would recommend them to others.

Fits (Jams) in the rear overhead light of a 1G Scion TC
4/5

Check before final insertion to see if the bulb is polarized! To go with the new white 6K LEDs I installed in my 1G Scion TC Map Light, I needed a 6K White LED bulb. The bulb must be able to fit into a recessed hole (which most PCBs have). The era of style bulbs is over. This worked, but only just; it stretches the festoon spring mount to its maximum length in order to install it, and the spring never retracts after that. Because this bulb has soldered blob ends rather than sharp/pointed ends, it doesn't fit properly in the bulb holder and jams. Before you slam it in, keep in mind that this bulb will only work in one direction (not both). So, either test the bulb in a 12 DC power supply with clips to see how it's oriented, or check the orientation (polarity) of the socket with a multimeter. Because the bulb isn't marked as being polarized on the package, I didn't do it! br>br>So, after jamming/fitting it into the socket, I turned it on with the switch. There was no action taken. So I had to use a pick to pry it out of the socket, reverse it, and re-jam it in. I tested it with the light switch, and it worked fine. I replaced the cover, and we'll leave it alone. It would be nice if the housing had sharp/needle ends (like the original bulb) so that it could fit properly into the spring connectors' relief holder. Oh well. br>br>I deduct one star because the polarity of the bulb could have been marked on the plastic center housing with a band or something! They also don't quite fit the standard size; the solder blobs at the ends make it slightly oversized. br>br>However, assuming it lasts indefinitely, I'm glad I went ahead and did it. The color matched the other bulbs I put in perfectly (YAH!). It's also a lot cooler to run. I only had my overhead light on for about 45 seconds while getting into the car, getting into the backset (two door car), and turning it off. I got a little burned when I tried to remove the old bulb because it was so hot. I then donned a latex glove and removed the old bulb with my pocket knife. However, it remained extremely hot for another 30 seconds after being turned off. LEDs should not be this hot, and I don't like how hot the factory bulb was against the plastic housing and lens all this time! LEDs should help prevent heat damage to interior lighting pieces. I wish I'd done it sooner, but I waited for LED bulb replacements to improve significantly from where they were five years ago. So now is the time to act!.
