Questions & Answers

Is this appropriate for an entourage of 2007?

Compared to the catalog, yes, this should fit.

What is the part that goes on the brake pedal when this switch is installed?

If you want to take it off and reinstall it in the same order, just take it off and reinstall When the switch is turned off, the cruise control and brake lights return to normal. It's amazing how much this switch disables daily driver functions

The OEM quality replacement part
5/5

It is a perfect replacement. This is a Hyundai/Kia replacement part that will fit a wide range of models from both manufacturers. For those of you unfamiliar with Hyundai & Kia, they are the equivalent of Chevrolet & There are many things they have in common. My 2008 Kia Rondo was fitted with this part in order to fix the brake lights. Yeah, she's getting up there in age, but she still looks fantastic and runs great! The brake lights on certain Hyundai and Kia vehicles are faulty and so there is a recall. We believe a faulty brake light or 'stop light' switch is to blame. In addition, it may cause the ESC fault indicator to light up and may cause the transmission to lock in PARK. (Parks cannot be disengaged unless brakes are applied, so if the brake light switch malfunctions, it may lock up the vehicle). The brake light switch may also prevent the cruise control from working, so cruise control may not work. The situation is also very concerning from a safety perspective. There is a chance that you could be rear ended and it is your fault. In addition, your friendly police cruiser will probably pull you over in order to talk about your non functioning brake light. However, the part arrived on time and was in an OEM box. It fit perfectly and was an OE part. Its size was smaller than the original, but the replacement did not have any effect due to it being smaller. In any case, the plunger shaft thickness and length must match. The plunger shafts did indeed match the originals. To be honest, I can see how a replacement could differ from the original in some ways if there had been a recall on a faulty part. Oh, and if you have a VIN that matches one of the recalled cars, your Hyundai/Kia dealer is most likely going to take care of the replacement. To me, it is just faster and easier to spend a few bucks, rather than scheduling an appointment, which would take time and effort. Don't try to fix the faulty switch itself, just replace it and drive on! This is a safety issue, avoid trying to fix the faulty switch.

It works, and it is simple to replace it
5/5

Everything is as it should be! When the "ESP OFF" light started showing up on my 2006 Kia Sportage, and the cruise control would not engage, I had to replace the old one. In both cases, the problem remained even after replacing the switch with this one. However, the ESP OFF light took longer to turn on after replacing the switch with the one shown below. Further research revealed that it is common for Kias/Hyundai's to do this if the brake light bulbs have failed. Since I had just installed LED bulbs which use a lot less energy, I figured my car's brake lights were out because its bulbs were dimmer. Simply replace the old bulbs with the new ones and the issue will be resolved. are experiencing these issues, make sure your bulbs are working properly!.

It fits Kia Spectra5 models from 2005 to 2008

It has only been 24 hours since I installed this switch but it seems to be working properly. My cruise control stopped working consistently before. It was this switch that led me to it. First, I read a review saying the switch was loose and one person experienced the same problem. The cruise worked the first time I bumped the brake, then stopped working after about six or eight taps. When I bumped the brake again, it still worked, but not when I tried to set the cruise. As soon as I tightened the switch, it worked consistently for a few A few minutes later, it was in a loose state A closer inspection revealed that the threads were stripped, making the screw hard to tighten. It is a replacement for the switch I ordered. Firstly, there's only one nut included with the adapter. Also, the two nuts are different. It's the same with the original, only one was included with it. There should be two of them. In addition to one nut I managed to salvage from the original, the other nut was stripped like the threads of The original tool used a 17mm wrench, while the nut that came with it needed a 14mm. Gives me a bit of a headache Initially, I was concerned that the new stud would be too small for the hole. Yet, the OD of the nut had changed, while the size of the wheel was the same. I only had to put in the code for an hour. In that space it is very small, so you might take a few minutes to change the seat (if you go to the seat and just change it). In and out of the car with the flashlight in my mouth, up under the dash, where I exhale to breathe and wipe the sweat off more than a few times. After that, go back into the computer It is possible for a man who stands 5'9" and weighs 250lbs to be upside down under the dash when he sits in this little car's drivers seat. It turned out to be easier and more efficient for me to slide up under them. I like seeing the cruise working again, so it is nice to have it working once I think it cost me about $10 when I bought it, saving me about $75 or so.

Unfortunately, I did not have success with this

When I put this on my car, after 3 miles the esp light came on under the dash and would not turn off. It also seemed like the car lost acceleration to the point where I couldn't drive my car, and I had to reinstall the old one.

I was very pleased with the results

I used it on my Hyundai Sonata and it worked great. In addition to the cruise control, brake lights, and electronic stability control, they were all out of commission. A brake light switch was likely the cause of the problem after a little research. Because the local auto store did not have the part in stock, I ordered it I did not have any trouble changing the part. Plug the new one in and screw the old one into place after you unplug and unscrew the old one. Installation was only slightly challenging due to the location of the part on the car and the need to still I have this part in the top of my brake pedal arm on my Hyundai. However, it is still a fairly straightforward task for the average person to complete. I have been having problems with my cruise control, brake lights, and stability control, and this part fixed them all for about 12 bucks, so I'm Since it is only 4 months old, I can't really speak to the long-term durability of this part, but it would be a good choice.

This will save you time and money

All the idiot lights on my Kia Rondo were on and the cruise control didn't work, so the entire vehicle was like a light show. Researching some forums led me to discover that there might be a known issue with the brake light However, I decided to replace the switch myself despite the fact that my particular model is supposed to be OK. Considering the part was so cheap, I had no reason not to buy it. As soon as I replaced the part, the idiot lights went off and the cruise control again works. One would never have thought that so much could be affected by such a tiny piece. It's been a few months now, and everything is working just fine. I can't imagine what it would have cost me to get a garage to troubleshoot and fix it.

I was able to fit my 2011 Kia Soul perfectly. Now that the brake lights are operational again, they can be used. The delivery took less than 24 hours.
