The first thing I noticed was how bright these lights were. Although I enjoy the colors on the remote, I know that the LED strips can display a wealth of colors that don't appear on the remote. Thus, I will likely purchase the Bluetooth control box directly from OPT7 in order to bypass the control and manage the other light colors from my phone. Additionally, each LED emits the precise amount of light that is In what sense am I speaking? In other words, even if you cut one of the LED's (imagining you could wire it up to power it) you would still be able to achieve the desired color. With other LED strips, the RGB lights are separate lights, which means you have to space them out to get the desired color, and that will be mediocre at best. These lights contain the full RGB spectrum in each of their LEDs, which is a huge advantage. The third reason is that they stick Fifth, I feel like a teenager, but I love seeing these lights because they are so colorful and fun! HEAVY DUTY WIRING The wiring was causing me some problems at first. My installation of this kit was a DIY effort given that I didn't have any experience working on cars under the body. Having installed mood lights in interior spaces, I understand circuitry and cables, and that was enough to get me through the installation. It is my vehicle, a Genesis G80, which I wired the lights along the underside. ziptied the wires to the underbody using holes I drilled in the wheels after carefully running them away from the wheels. Next, I ran the wires all the way to the front, where I am still not sure where the control box should go. I was forced to remove each tire from the car to install the lights, as well as to lift two sides of the car at a time. I successfully installed these four strips and ran the wires to the engine bay - where I envisioned the control box would be. *Now, with the installation kit there are different wiring methods to choose from 1) I thought about running the box from my interior fuse box but I already have both a dashcam and interior mood lights coming from there, and it's a congested In the end, I had to use an adapter that I had (since my car only uses microfuses) to connect the box to the circuit - and that's where my first issue began. A comfortable reach to the box was not possible with the cables. I can't find a way to make it work without cutting off the cables at the front-most part of the engine bay, and the cables would not intersect anywhere else in the bay anyway. My next step was to contact OPT7 support and search on Amazon for extensions. I emailed OPT7 on Sunday, and they responded early on Monday to let me know that they would send me not one, but two 10ft cables as part of my warranty, that I was not even aware It was a great experience working with them and they replied very quickly! The cables I used to run the lines allowed me to run the lines beneath the underbody and through the Frame of the vehicle to rest at the front, under the glove box, on the passenger side. My lights work beautifully and the remote is extremely responsive, but I want to buy the Bluetooth control box as soon as possible! The product I purchased from Opt7 was 100% satisfactory, and I will consider them in the future if I have any other.

In the beginning, let me say that I really like these lights, but there is one downside. That is that they do not last very long, at least not for me. 6 months after it was installed, the back right led strip stopped working and only half of the leds were bright. The OPT7 rep sent me a replacement strip the next day and it arrived the same A few months later, another 2 strips are partially working, and the main remote barely works for reason, I have to hit a button about 20 times to get it to work, but the key chain remote works perfectly, so I lose out on the color fade feature and some colors as a result.

I will contact Opt7 again to discuss getting 3 strips so I have one spare to replace the 4th one if it acts up also and a new remote in case the 4th one acts up as well. My plan is also to get the underbody kit and replace my interior lights (led glow) with opt7 as well, so it will be one set. I can do a lot more with opt7 than led glow, and opt7 has a lot more customization. The only thing I hope for is that they get -(1st photo shows them on the same day they were installed, 2nd - My faulty lights were replaced for free by OPT7, and they have amazing customer service. (Under their warranty, these lights last for two years apparently.

Since there was no place to secure the light strips on the Honda Civic without making custom modifications, I opted for the wheel well, which was more subtle. Since I also have the underbody kit, this worked well, but if you only have the tire kit, the brightness will be disappointing. It has a remote control that enables it to be controlled by a distance.
