It's only about 5 minutes long. Even with the extension wires, 6 inches is too short for my needs; I'll probably try to add an led strip for more coverage or solder on more wire.
Almost any vehicle will work with it. They provide a variety of plugs to fit various sockets.

I'm not sure what the exact measurements are. But the wire coming off the light, as I recall, is about 3 inches long. It also includes a 4- or 5-inch-long extension wire.

In a 2018 Kia Forte, this system was installed. I suppose I expected the package to be larger when it arrived. It's a tiny package. The size is comparable to a few quarters in the first few photos. Despite the fact that the entire package is small, it provides adequate trunk lighting. Although there are no instructions, determining whether or not you can change a lightbulb is not difficult. Here are some technical specifications for the product:br>br>The strip measures approximately 19. Approximately 5" in length There's a soldered-in section about halfway down the strip. at the 10-inch mark on pigtail The pigtail is approximately 2 inches in length. Approximately 5" in length br>The strip has 30 LEDs (which is also stated in the product description). They're made of 5050 SMD components. The LED strip has a foam backing. (as opposed to standard LED strips) based sticky tape for better cohesion br>The kit includes two connectors and an extension wire. br>There are two types of connectors: festoon type spring load plug and pin type plug. The number of connectors is two. Approximately 5" in length The extension wire measures 12 inches in length. br>br>I used a festoon bulb and a festoon connector because that's what I had. The polarity of the LED strip is not important. Because the festoon connector should go in one of two directions, test it first. br>br>In my case, the existing light was in the middle of the trunk, so I didn't need the extension wire, and everything tucked neatly into the light socket area when I replaced it. One word of caution: don't get the tape too close to the hole where the existing light facility slides back in when sticking it to the underside of the trunk; otherwise, it may be damaged. br>br>I tested the strip before installing it to make sure it worked (someone mentioned earlier that a few of the LEDs didn't work, but everything worked fine in my case). br>br>On the LED strip, the tape is foam-based 3M tape (at least that's how it's labeled). When installed, they had good adhesion (unlike traditional LED strips, which have a paper backing). Consider the use of duct tape. I don't think this will go down without a fight. br>br>The end result was fantastic. The before and after shots are dramatic (well, maybe that's overkill, but it was pretty cool), as can be seen in the photos. This was a fantastic deal and a simple task to complete. Anyone with a dim trunk light should consider this.
There are no instructions included, but you should be able to swap these out even if you have only basic mechanical skills. Installing and turning on the light took less than ten minutes! If you don't know how to change the light in your trunk, here are some basic instructions to help you: 1. br>br> Determine the location of your trunk's light source.
2. A clear cover with a tab that must be pressed as you pull the cover off might be present. ***When removing the cover or light plug, be cautious of any wires that may still be attached.
3. Check to see if you have the SMD 5050 (plug-in) type. a bulb with two wire prongs) or the 6418 type (a glass tube with a cone-shaped opening) br>4. metal ends with a shaped shape)br> Mount your light strip so that the center wire connection is within 5 inches of the light plug, depending on the type.
5. Make sure the Red and Black leads are mated the same when you plug the appropriate plug type into the LED strip connector. (If necessary, use the included lead extension and make sure the red and black wires are the same color. ) )
6. The light strip should illuminate when the connector adapter is plugged into the original trunk light plug.
7. Take advantage of the fact that you now have sunshine in your trunk! This is a great upgrade for your trunk! br>br>I highly recommend it!.
My new Honda Accord has been added to the mix. It has a significant impact. I'll be happy as long as the tape adheres well. I'll post a before and after photo.
I had no issues installing it on a 2014 Cruze. Unfortunately, no instructions are included, but they are not difficult to put together. You may be perplexed as to why there are three stars. Before installing this in the trunk, I should have double-checked that the LED lights were working properly. After I installed it, I noticed that four of the LEDs were not as bright as the others, indicating that the quality control of this product is lacking thus far. I would return it and without a doubt purchase this item again because these do make a significant difference in your trunk. Before installing these LEDs in your trunk, make sure they're up to snuff.
The LED strip (with 3m tape) and two adaptors are included in the kit, depending on the type of connection the bulb in your trunk has. It was as simple as removing the OEM light, plugging in the connector from the kit, and taping the strip to the trunk in my case. It was simple enough, but I ended up tearing the last 1/4 of the strip (WARNING: this thing tears easily without scissors), so I had to re-cut it. soldering it back together (despite the fact that there is already plenty of light)! The finished product is well worth the money; it looks fantastic and gives the car a much more upscale and practical appearance!.
A wedge-shaped bulb was used in my 2001 Civic. There is no reflective backing to spread the light because the light housing is recessed. This light strip is very similar to what you'd find on Amazon, and it was put together very cheaply. The two wires are stripped and threaded through the two holes before being bent back over in the given wedge bulb adapter, which is in the lower half shape of the bulb. Silicone, electrical tape, and wire loom are all items that I highly recommend. Spread the wires apart from the adapter and fill the back with silicone to keep them apart and avoid a short. The electrical tape and wire loom are used to keep the cheap wiring from rubbing up against the car's edges and causing a short. Aside from that, I think it's fantastic! The temperature of the light is cool. I'm not wishing anything bad on the resistors, but I'm hoping they're of good quality. Usually, it's not the leds that fail; it's the rest of the system.
