Even without instructions, the wiring was simple. I wish I had known what size switch the switch required, but I had to make do with measuring and guessing. I wanted to shed some light on my strategy, and I believe this will do just that.

My mind was blown away. It's well-made and contains all of the information I required. br>br>It took me about 10 minutes to install this on my son's motorcycle. It simply bathes the trails in light. We did have to scrape the bottom of the barrel. It took a while to figure out how to get it out of people's faces, but it finally did. It gets quite hot, but not hot enough to melt anything or cause any problems. br>br>The switch is a flush-mount type. Mount switch that is better suited to UTVs. I simply zip-up my pants. tied it . it works. br>br>However, we did end up having to upgrade the bike's battery to accommodate the draw.

The quality of the light appears to be good. The hardware, on the other hand, is a different story. Because the pop-in switch was essentially junk, I had to buy a good switch to replace it. The light's mounting brackets were made of flimsy stamped pot metal, one of which was so crooked that it tangled all the bolts. See pics. Nilight stated that they did not see any issues, but that they would send me a replacement. That hasn't happened yet. The light can't be adjusted properly in a hurry, so it hasn't been mounted yet. My recommendation to anyone is to purchase the light on its own and then look for better mounting hardware.

My 2018 Kawasaki Brute Force is too big for rack mounts. If the mounts were installed at the width required for the light, they would hit the plastic. I needed to widen the mounts and add an aluminum bracket. Modification is simple. The switch required a 13/16 drill bit, which was relatively simple to install. Near the factory outlet, I drilled a hole.

I can repair most things around the house, but I am not an electrician or a mechanic. That said, mounting this bar light on my Honda Rancher four-wheeler was a breeze. It took about an hour for me to complete this task. br> I liked that the brackets were all metal, and that the rubber gaskets that keep them attached to the frame appear to be very durable. br>The wire harness was simple to thread through the frame and appeared to be made of thick, durable wire. br>The light is extremely bright, and looking into it hurts the eyes. I compare prices on comparable bar lights and found this one about 65% cheaper! br>This is the light for you if you want a well-made bright light at a low price.

Universal mounts are a no-no for me. The light is nice in and of itself, but the universal mounts aren't ideal for a quad. The rubber inserts would allow for an excessive amount of bouncing. I ditched the mounts and replaced them with stainless steel L brackets that I drilled into the front bumper supports' existing holes. The wiring harness is attractive, but the power button is flimsy. I ultimately removed it and connected it to the quad's high beam lead. There's one less thing that could go wrong.

Not bad for the price, but as others have mentioned, you'll have to figure out your own mounting options, and the supplied system is mediocre at best; instructions are rudimentary at best, and don't expect any after-sale service, which is something I value regardless of price or quality. If a company doesn't have time to answer questions about a product after you've paid for it, it says a lot about them, regardless of whether they're the manufacturer or the seller. Time will tell how good the product is without instructions, but so far it's not bad for the money.

Because of the harness provided, the installation was a breeze. I went straight to the battery and discovered that there was enough wire to complete the quad. The only issue I had was that the mounts didn't have enough rubber to attach to the quad, but I was able to work around this by using double-sided tape. tape that is double-sided By a long shot, the brightness exceeds that of my LED headlights. This is ideal for all of my night riding on my farm. Thank you once more, NiLight.
