Questions & Answers

Is it possible to mount these on a vertical surface with the light facing forward and a hole/bolt in the back?

No, you're limited in where you can put it because the bolt is perpendicular to the light and only fits in one spot and the bracket can only rotate 20 degrees.

Is it possible to bolt it from the side in any way?

You may be able to make or obtain a bracket that allows you to bolt it from the side.

What is the diameter of the mounting screw in millimeters?

If my memory serves me correctly, the bolt is 10mm in diameter.

Is there any radio interference on the VHF band?

When I use my AM/FM stereo receiver, there is no interference, but when I use my CB radio, there is a lot of interference. I've tried a variety of grounding options but can't seem to get rid of the CB interference.

Selected User Reviews For Nilight 18021F-B 2PC 4Inch Triple Row Lights 60W Flood Spot Combo 6000LM Bar Driving Boat Led Off Road Trucks, 2 Years Warranty

For such a small light pod, it's quite bright; uses a lower level of force than stated Review of Nilight 2PCS 4 Inch 60W Spot LED Light Bar Flood Combo Driving Light Waterproofbr>br>So far, I'm liking them
5/5

The design and fabrication are excellent, and the mounting brackets and screws are extremely durable. Brackets and lights appear to have a nice black coating that protects them from the elements. There are no written instructions or specifications included with the package. I've put them both through their paces on the workbench and they're both functional. I'll keep you up to date as I put them to use. br>br>I also measured the current they draw, and they don't use 60 watts; instead, they use 16 watts each, based on a 13 volt supply. 6 volts and a reading of 1. 1 - 2A (Of the two lights, one is used more than the other; (It's funny how that works). This does not imply that they are less bright (in terms of watts of illumination). This indicates that they use less power than stated, which is a good thing. It may not be necessary to purchase a larger alternator to handle the load. If you don't have the tools to measure electricity, a good rule of thumb is to match the wire size that comes out of the load (lights, etc. ). To avoid voltage drop, increase the wire diameter if you're making a long run (such as from the front to the back of the truck). This is why a large powered sub's power cables are so thick. br>br>It would be nice if sellers stopped making false claims about the power and lumens of auxiliary lights, but they won't because most people can't test lumens, candlepower, or watts. br>br>I hope this information is useful.

BRIGHT is just the beginning
3/5

My golf car's halogen headlights were on their way out and were no longer available. These could be inserted into the inset housing where the original lenses were, giving them a built-in appearance. Excellent craftsmanship - The cast aluminum appears to be of good quality, with all stainless hardware included, but no usable instructions (but hey, red to red, black to black, mount). These are brighter than the sun. They have a focused beam that really lights up out to 20 feet from the cart during the day and then floods that cast an overall pattern off to the sides and out even further at night. I had to lower them quite a bit because they were bothering other drivers (unless they were flashing me the your number one sign). br>br>Durability will be interesting, and I wouldn't be surprised if they're short-lived, but the initial impression is very positive, and I don't see how you can go wrong for the money. br>br>04/17/2020 UPDATED: Durability, on the other hand, quickly became a problem. One of the lights has become noticeably brighter than the other. I've double-checked all of the wiring and connections, but the problem is with the light itself. There are no instructions on how to contact the manufacturer for warranty service, so I'll either have to order another set to get one working light or just throw them out and try something more dependable.

60 watts? Come on
3/5

Each of these lights drew about ten watts of power. They're bright, but the wattage misrepresentation should be prohibited. They get two stars because they can be used as pod lights. I would have given them five stars if they had actually produced 30W per pod. br>It's simple to set them up. The wires could have been a little longer, in my opinion. The two center pods in the photo are nilights. The edge pods are Auxbeam sidelights, which produce the wattage advertised.

Incorporate "Daylight" into the Backwoods- It's very bright! I'm disabled with RA, and I run our family ranch in the far north, so I rely on lights like this one
5/5

High Quality Materials, Top Quality Craftsmanship I'm the caregiver for my 82-year-old mother in Wyoming's Black Hills. When I'm driving back to the ranch from our monthly trip into town (we live 90 miles from any large town) for doctor's appointments, shopping, or materials pick-up, it gets VERY dark, and with all the "Wildlife" that likes to jump out of the forested hills, I won't trust just any lighting, at times when I'm driving back to the ranch from our monthly trip into town for doctor's appointments, shopping, or materials pick-up I won't be back until 9 p. m. , so please be patient. Even at 11 p. m. , this brand has proven itself to be dependable time and time again. 4 to 30, 30 to 100 They never fail to provide enough bright light to safely get myself and Mom back home, even when there is 5 feet of snow on the ground. Before I hit another Whitetail or Elk, I can see the eyes of the Whitetail or Elk light up. This brand also makes such a wiring harness and is the best I've found for added lighting- it should have a relay to keep your charging system from getting overdrawn (too much instant draw w/o a "buffer" of sorts, like a "Ballast" for neon lights) I didn't connect to the stock light system, it should have a relay to keep your charging system from getting overdrawn (too much instant draw w/out a "buffer" of sorts This is a very dependable first-class built light that I highly recommend - Thank you, Amazon, for selling such a high-quality product with prompt delivery and the best customer service of any online retailer.

You won't be able to change anything once it's been installed! The price is reasonable, but as others have stated, you must literally remove the light to adjust the angle
3/5

Because - The adjustment bolt is no longer accessible once it has been installed - It's a hex head, by the way. I'd like the manufacturer to show me exactly how to use a hex head socket (or the allen wrench that comes with it). I ended up using standard metric six-point bolts to replace the hex head bolts. Bolts with a pointy head, as shown in my photo. This work consists of: The light is also 'angled up' as far as it can go when the bolt head hits the mounting base, as shown in the photo. In terms of design, it's a complete FAIL. The lights work fine, and there hasn't been any moisture inside yet, but I wouldn't buy them again because of the dreadful design. Just keep this in mind if you decide to buy (if you decide to buy).

Floodlight pattern with a lot of light
5/5

It is simple to put together. * Updated after a year: Even after all these years, they are still functional and attractive. There is no water inside, and there is no fading. br>br>Easy to set up and connect. Worked perfectly. Extremely vivid. Oncoming traffic will not be blinded by any "driving light. " br>First picture - JKU high beam is a stock item. br>Second illustration - These LED pods come in a set of two. I've only had it on my jeep for about a week, so I can't comment on how long it will last. The only complaint I have is that the lights don't allow you to aim them low enough to avoid blinding oncoming traffic, but these aren't intended to be supplemental driving lights. They're excellent floodlights. Excellent for lighting country roads so you can react faster when animals try to commit suicide on your front bumper or windshield.
