This is a review for the lack of reviews when we bought it and because I was concerned that it would Luckily, this one did not have any problems during installation. Buy this one instead of OEM and you will save money. It used to be on our 2007 RAV4 but we lost it. We found this Sun Visor that worked great as a replacement.
I've noticed that the visor on my 2012 Rav4 has been slipping backwards by about 1". This was the low cost alternative to the OEM part I was hoping for. The unit is very similar to the OEM part in appearance absent the safety label on the non-oem unit. There was one good thing about it, and that was how easy it was to install. There's a problem with the clip cover, as it falls off when touched lightly. There is a gap around 0 in the visor because it wouldn't fold all the way up. The headline is 5 inches away from the bottom. While folding up and down the visor, a lot of resistance is felt. Previously removed and returned to its original position.
In spite of Amazon telling me it was compatible, I could not use this product. Old visor clips It looks like the old clip's length is the same since the assembly is not completed). It was impossible to hold the visor to the ceiling with the new clips. Sorry to hear that.
I followed the instructions (for a 2006 RAV4 passenger sun visor replacement) and went smoothly until the last segment. Even though I tried hard, I could not get the piece to engage. As I pulled out the new sun control assembly, I noticed that the new design differs from the original Toyota sun control assembly. When I reused the two original clips after several reattempts, a huge difference occurred. To push the bracket cover in the whole way, I still had to use the plastic handle of a hammer. This seems to be holding up, and I am able to operate the visor and the vanity light switch. It will take time to find out.
It was impossible to put up the sun visor on our RAV4 anymore due to a broken piece. Since I was not interested in spending the money to have it professionally repaired, I didn't. The product was purchased in hopes of fixing the problem. Fortunately, it worked perfectly. I pulled the old one out and snapped this one in its With our new sun visor, we're all set. The new one matches the original one exactly as well and it's difficult to even tell that it's been In my opinion, this is the best replacement visor if you're looking for one.
I had only one disadvantage it did not come with screws, so I needed to take it to an auto parts store to have it installed (my previous visor had been damaged in a rollover accident, so the screws were no longer usable). the little hiccup, it still works perfectly in our current environment.
In general, this is a great product. It was difficult to clip the metal clips into place because they were too narrow. However, only after much frustration in trying to figure out why I couldn't remove the clips from my old visor did I manage to use them instead. It took me less than a minute to install the visor once I switched the clips.
The pros include As a stock part, the visor looks the same as the original. My 2007 Rav4 is a bit old, but it's still in good condition. The following cons A minor issue I noticed was the clips that came with the product were not as robust as they should have been. In order for this product to work properly, I had to remove the clips from the old visor. When I reinstalled the old clips and got it all set up, everything is working properly.
