The fit is perfect and the installation was easy. I didn't have to go to the dealer and the replacement was cheaper than the original. It wasn't much better than the Honda crap, but it was at least better than the original. Honda would do better to take care of its current customers if it truly wanted to make a difference instead of calling attention to new suckers only to attract them. The paint is bad, there are glued components that melt in the Texas heat, and the airbags are the worst. In the hope of trading in this car before I have to buy another, I will try to keep it in good shape. Taking this visor out for the second time is a big deal. As well as the driver's side, the passenger side has melted off, but that is not of concern.
Like so many others, I also experienced the same issue with the stock visor splitting in half at the hinge. Although I read the mediocre reviews, I still purchased this car since it's no show car. There's a light grey color that I would not call factory, and when you try to clip the visor closed, it won't stay closed. It's a color my son can live with, but the clip issue we 'fixed' by wrapping an electrical tape around it. I have now been able to keep it in place just fine. Those two issues can be ignored if you are fine with them.
My favorite thing is that when the visor is positioned up, it lies flat against the ceiling of the cabin, exactly the way the Honda visor should have done, but didn't due to a known problem in earlier models. (Darn them much as I am). There is one thing I don't like the clasp doesn't work very well, as mentioned in other reviews. It is fine with me, though I am a little frustrated they didn't make a clasp on the strap It would be nice if the bar was just a little bit The droopy defect in the original visor is not a deal breaker for me. I got it for a good price, every bit worth it in my opinion.
I find it to be an excellent fit for my 2007 Civic Ex. When I examined it side-by-side with the originals, it looked identical. It's just that I am not sure if the internal spring problem has been fixed or if these will suffer from the same issue. The only way to know for sure is to wait and see because I live in an area with high temperatures. Originally, the visors burst open due to a faulty internal spring, causing them to split in half and become As far as I can tell, this was a manufacturer's defect. 5 stars so far, but I will update if this issue is repeated.
The driver side sun visor of my "Royal Blue Pearl" Honda Civic was delaminated, and I had to order the "gray", but it turned out to be a warm pewter gray that did not match the shades of gray or silver inside the car. I received acceptance for my return - It was a pleasure working with In the end, I chose "Atlas gray", since it seemed to be the only other option, although it appeared very dark on gray color of Atlas Gray matches one of the dark grays of the interior and makes the cabin appear uniform. The visor is not an exact match to the original right side that is still in excellent condition, but it is very close to it. For each option, there could be a list with the heading "Will closely match. . . ". When that is the case, there is no guesswork involved and no need to expect a perfect Despite this, the 5-point score is still low It is well deserved to receive a 5-star rating. There are no problems with this visor it is well made, it is the correct shape, and it.
I would make sure to check to make sure that it fits your car model (Amazon helps you with that) and you should be fine. This was NOT hard to install. I am a nurse just starting out, but I'm pretty crafty, so I was able to make it on my own with my girly tools (used a You still can do this even if you aren't a crafty person). I wish you the best of.
The driver's side visor on my 2008 Honda Civic was damaged, so I purchased a replacement. Installing this was a breeze, there was just a couple of screws to secure it. There is a lighter gray color on the fabric (see the first picture) than on the plastic. visor originally had a gray color that was similar to the shade of grey throughout (see picture 2), but I'm fine with the visual difference in color. One problem I have with it is that it slides right out of the clasp when I catch it on the hook. There are some pictures showing the plastic might not be thick enough (see below). I sometimes accidentally pull the visor out when I am putting it down and putting it back. I chose to keep this because I didn't want to order from anywhere else & I didn't want to order from someplace else I keep getting the same issue, so I have to pay the As a whole, I would recommend this visor if you don't mind the slight color difference or the unfitted clasp, if you need a new one. That's far cheaper than what the dealership was asking for.
The following update has been made After installing the visor (original review follows), the glue holding the plastic sides failed just as it did with There is no reason to assume that this replacement is any better made than the original. You can watch videos on the website An image showing how to install three "screw posts" and drill holes in the two sides of the visor at the top and bottom. Perhaps the visor can hold together this way if I do more work on it. A copy of the original review is attached. Exactly the same as the original that had worn out, this visor seems to be. Aside from that, the visor itself was of good quality. However, it was shipped with the mounting bracket turned backward, so one of the screws to attach the visor to the car was difficult to insert. To reveal the other screw, I had to tighten the screw that was accessible, then move the visor to get at it. As soon as the bracket was attached to the car, it was very difficult to move.
