I bought a few sunshields for my Tesla Model 3 and they were all mediocre at best, including one that claimed to fit perfectly. This is a very close call. The fit is perfect. The material is thicker and more taught than most, rather than thin and droopy like most others. In bright sunlight, it effectively fills the windshield and reduces the amount of light that enters the car. I wish I hadn't squandered my time and money on other possibilities. br>I'm a mechanical engineer with over 30 years of experience, and I rarely write reviews, but this product deserves a positive review, and I wanted to assist others in finding a great sunshield for their TM3. It does a decent job of blocking the sun. It just looks bad because it sags all over the place. Suction cups aren't a good idea because of the depth of the windshield. It's better to get something stiffer that you can just stuff in there and hold up with the sun visors. br>(Latebr>I feel compelled to add to my review. ) It's nothing but a load of nonsense. This item is not to be purchased. I'm about to spend a lot of money on a working version. Using this for the entire summer has been a complete waste of time. It'll be there before I know it, but to use, it barely keeps the sun out. . . ugh! br>br>(Edit) I've had it for a while and have changed my mind to "it just sucks" now that I've had it. In 100° weather, that advertised 79° is pure fiction. When the temperature is around 80 degrees, the Tesla is a good 110 degrees or more. I have insulation for all of the glass and will be purchasing a new windshield cover in the near future.

Initially, I was skeptical, but I decided to believe the glowing reviews. I'm so glad I took the chance. I recently purchased a 2021 Tesla Model Y, and this sun shield is fantastic. It's a perfect fit and completely blocks the sun. If you've worked with pop-ups before, you'll know what I'm talking about. You won't have any trouble folding it back into its included case (which I didn't realize was included) if you're not using it for kids' toys or tents. This product is incredible and far surpasses my expectations. I'm glad I took a chance on it.

Although the sun visors could hold the sunshade in place without being flipped down, I used them to keep the top of the sunshade in place. It's made of a thicker material than the low-cost double-sided tape. I had previously used circular sunshades. Folding and stowing in the carrying bag is a breeze. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, When folded normally, it is difficult to fit into the model 3's seat back pocket. Instead, I chose to store it on the back floor. The sunshade's carrying bag (not the sunshade itself) had some abrasions where the silver material had peeled away. I'm hoping the sunshade is spared from this fate.

After trying a few other products, I've decided that this one is the best for the money; it covers almost the entire front windshield and is very effective at blocking sunlight and heat from entering the interior. It takes a little getting used to folding it, but once you get the hang of it, it's not too bad. I like how it's contained in the storage case, and it fits nicely underneath the seat (it's too big for the center console or glovebox). If I had one suggestion, it would be to make the case a little larger and to use a drawstring instead of a zipper. It takes a few moments to wrestle the folded shade into the bag and zip it up.

5 stars for efficiency, but not so much for ease of folding. It's not a bad product; it's just a little bulky due to its size. Instead, I fold it in half and stow it between the passenger door and the seat. If there are more people in the car, I'll fold it up or cram it into the back footwell. I've had it for a few months and it appears to be holding up well and being very effective in the California sun. I was using a generic double round one that a friend had given me, and it was barely holding itself together. This one has a lot more luster and fits perfectly.

It's quite thick, and it folds into a small circle. Heat inside the car is definitely reduced by at least ten degrees.
