There is a poor quality to the product. Pay attention to the negative During my testing, the spring / pin / punch part broke just as it did for other reviewers. There's nothing worse than a poor quality safety tool that breaks and is unable to be used compared to not having one at all. There should be a recall on this item. There is no excuse for Resqme to make a bad product, nor should it be allowed to sell.

Initially, I was concerned with how to attach them to my car it didn't occur to me until I saw them that a) they come with key rings and zip ties, and b) you can take off the black part covering the blade. can attach a key ring or zip tie to them so you can put them on your keys, rear-view mirror, back of a car seat, etc, and pull firmly when needed. Feels like quality, and I tested the punch out on cardboard. I feel better having two in my car and one attached to my key chain.

In real life I have not had to use this device yet, but I was given a chance to see the videos of it being used, and I think it's an impressive product given how small and functional it is. I bought 3 for my parents and myself. The fact that I have the option to get out if my car ends up in water or in some other poor situation gives me a peace of mind. I consider this hammer a phenomenal value for its low price and small size. It may not be as powerful or durable as other hammers out there however, for the price and size, it is still definitely a good deal.
