First and foremost, these brackets are beautifully constructed. The quality is excellent, and it appears to be very long-lasting. I'm guessing they're made of ABS that has been injected into a mold. The bad news is that I bought them to use with some AEM gauges, and I was disappointed to discover that the spacing of the tabs where the bolts screw down is too wide (for AEM gauges). They should, however, work fine with Autometer gauges, according to what I've heard. br>br>Anyway, the good news is that I was able to purchase some small M4 standoffs from McMaster (part 93655A427), which enabled me to use the brackets with the AEM gauges without issue. br>br>Overall, I'm very happy with this product; aside from having to extend the screws on the AEM gauges, everything else fits perfectly. I'll have to come up with a better mounting solution.
It's just plastic on the back of your gauges, nothing special; it used to be metal. I'm not going to buy any more Z series gauges after this.
I had two autometer gauges that came with these, but I hacked them up for a cheap pod, then bought another gauge and a different pod.
The ones that come with the gauges are identical to these. It's a good thing these are connected because tightening them will cause distortion.
Installing 5 gauges was a breeze.
