Yes, it is illuminated in red and the bulb can be replaced. It's a good meter.
This gauge, which is a standard marine water pressure gauge, should work fine. It includes plenty of tubing as well as all of the connector fittings you'll need to get it up and running. In my Nitro bass boat, this replaced the OEM water pressure gauge. It's powered by a Mercury 115 from 2006.

I bought two of these to match my dashboard. They were easy to install and fit perfectly where my old ones had come out. When I finally got my boat in the water for a test run, they worked flawlessly as well.
