The sensor must be threaded into an aftermarket t connection that is separate from the oem oil pressure sensor switch.
It's unlikely that you'll be able to use the sensor that already exists. The gauge's sending unit is calibrated to read the gauge itself. Your best bet is to install some sort of "T" and use both of them.
China is most likely.
It's a measurement that can be applied to any situation. Any car can be wired; all you need is a location to install the sensor.

This gauge actually caught me off guard. When it comes to gauges, Glowshift may not have the best reputation, but I believe this is a significant upgrade over their previous model. The only issue I had with it was that the backlight occasionally reset itself from the light blue I had set to the default dark blue, but this was not a major issue. I contacted Glowshift about it, and their customer service was excellent; they offered to replace the gauge under warranty with no questions asked. But I didn't bother because it only happened a couple of times and the gauge otherwise works perfectly.
I've had this product for a few months and it's been great so far for the price; the only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 is because I can change the color of my gauge for some reason, but I can't keep it in the color I want for good. I have to change the color of my car every time I start it up.
It performs admirably. The insulation on the wires next to the plug, however, becomes brittle and flakes away after just 20 miles due to the heat. Overall, it's not bad; just make sure it's insulated when it's near a heat source. similar to a motor.
The overall quality and construction are outstanding, as well as being aesthetically pleasing. They have a fantastic finish and are extremely accurate.
In my racecar, I'm going to put two of these dials. They're well-built and have taken a lot of abuse, but they're still going strong, and they're easy to read in daylight.
The gauge is in excellent condition and was simple to set up. Worked perfectly on my 1990 Jeep Wrangler and didn't require any additional accessories.
Once upon a time, gauge worked.
