Questions & Answers
It should fit any modern engine, and all you need is a tee adapter to connect it to the oil pressure sending unit.
Yes, a 1/8" npt female connection is required. The gauge has a 1/8" npt male connection.
When working with applications that have a lot of vibration, using a mechanical gauge isn't a good idea. Check to see if the gauge can be mounted from a distance.
While it's not technically under the hood, we used it to check oil pressure by mounting it directly to a VW block in a sand rail. It's been there for about three months and has a 20-minute run time. I've been working 25 hours a week for the past few weeks and have had no problems.

If you have a performance engine or simply want peace of mind about having oil pressure, this is a nice piece of comfort to have. If you have a mechanical gauge that is designed to be used at all times, there's no need to try to run a pressure test. br>br>I've had no problems with this so far, but I've seen others where oil has leaked into the gauge or there has been some other issue. I can only speak for myself, but aside from being my daily driver, I've pushed the car a few times and it's held up admirably. br>br>As a result, you should use thread sealant. can- This may cause a small leak, and the visual reading may differ slightly from what I've seen. 5~7psi. Overall, a good buy and, in my opinion, a must have if you intend to keep your engine running for a long time.
It will not get a true test until next season, as I just finished installing it on my Buell XB9R engine/racebike for Bonneville. That gauge is fantastic! On the surface, it says Anaheim, California, but I was disappointed when I opened the box and saw a "Made in Taiwan" sticker on the bubble wrap (as another reviewer mentioned). I won't throw you guys under the bus because I did go back and re-read everything. I looked through your specifications and couldn't find any mention of this gauge being made in the United States. I'm hoping it lasts longer than the Arlen Ness gauge it's replacing (the glycerin leaked out from the needle/face area, but it worked fine otherwise).
Black was exactly what I was looking for! Is there any liquid (thick-) inside? clear) and appears to be of high quality. I'm hoping it's made in the United States, as the label claims. (If it were my product, the made in Taiwan (or Hong Kong) sticker on the bubble wrap pouch would be removed. ) (It begs the question. ).
The works and display are simple to read.
It was exactly what I was looking for.
It's simple to understand and use. And for a lot less money; I paid twice as much for another brand, and it leaked like crazy.
Work ok.
Great product that fits my fuel rail perfectly and is the perfect size.
