Great gauge, but I had to buy copper fittings to replace the cheesy ones that came with it. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase.
I'M GOING TO ORDER AGAIN.
For the time being, my job is satisfactory. The only way to find out is to wait. This item was purchased to replace a leaking Summit fuel gauge that was installed after the fuel filter on our diesel.
Remove the schrader valve and cover the threads with teflon tape. New parts were installed. 10 min. Total number of hours worked.
I can't think of anything negative to say about this gage. When connecting a fuel regulator to a fuel regulator, you'll need to purchase an elbow adaptor (available at Home Depot or Lowes). That's about it. There will be no issues.
I received a product that was both functional and exactly what I was looking for.
If you want to read it, you should have a 90° elbow.
The gauge is fine in and of itself, but the aluminum fitting that comes with it is flimsy. This should be replaced by a brass fitting by BBK. I was extremely cautious when installing it after reading online warnings about how easily it could snap off in your fuel rail. It is still leaking under pressure after three installations and liberal applications of pipe tape or teflon paste (I tried both). I also had to buy $25 worth of brass fittings from a local hardware store to raise it to eye level so I could read it. That part is due to the low location of my schrader valve behind the alternator, which has nothing to do with the actual product, but I can't read it if I can't read it. When I find a brass fitting, I'll replace it. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase - I finally decided to buy an Auto Meter 3280 fuel rail adapter on Amazon. It works perfectly, and despite purchasing the gauge on sale, I ended up spending far more than I should have due to the garbage fitting that came with it.
