There is a difference between the 2nd and 1st generation bags, since the 1st has a velcro flap lid. Two of the side pockets are mesh, with one front pocket consisting of a solid flat fabric based on the 1st gen bag. Unlike the first generation of bags, the second generation has a zip top lid and three mesh pockets on the front and side.
All four of these did not seem to fit into one place. A couple of those under the straps on each side give it a little more stability and keep it in There was a notch under both ends of the handle where the plastic piece fit into, so it did take some effort to get them in.

Unlike an insulated lunch box, this box will not leak and is easy to clean. The top keeps the dry contents from spilling out, unlike the standard waste basket I had been using. However, you shouldn't tip it over or pour anything after barfing in it because it will tip over. A clever solution is to have magnet snaps on the inside of the bag (since the top zips shut) to keep the bag secure. It is an excellent little gadget that will keep your car trash free when you are on the go. The bag can be used as a trash can, cooler, and snack bag at the same time. You can put things in either of the front or side pockets, and the bag is the perfect size. When you flip over the top, you can put a can of soft drinks in. The top zips off. A strap is also attached to it, so you can hang it on the front seat back. My plan is to use it for a cooler and snack bag at first and then to put all of our waste in it once we've finished eating and drinking. Getting rid of the messy truck is now possible!
