It can be folded, but it's not designed to do so. I would take this out if you travel most of the time with the seats up, but you could leave it in if you only occasionally have the seats up.
There haven't been any noticeable changes. The smell of a new vehicle persists after I install a full set of front seats, middle seats, rear seats, and cargo liners in a new vehicle
Rubber and plastic are a mixture of materials used in the cargo liner.

I was VERY happy with these liners in my '17 Explorer Sport and found them to be very durable and of good quality. Three kids and two dogs tested them out, and they handled them well. We have now installed this in our new Explorer and the coordinating floor mats in the seating areas.
In addition to my two young children and a Golden Retriever, I have a wife and a business. Our first reason for getting it is that we live near the beach and we are always vacuuming sand from it. Earlier this week, we went on a ski trip, and while driving, my dog had an accident in the car (I think she was anxious because she had diarrhea). After we pulled over, we took out the liner (which is super easy to do) and rinsed it off with water and snow we had available. I can only imagine what it would be like if I didn't have the liner in! Our household has been a mess for so long, but this thing saved us so much time and effort. Further, we were able to throw our wet snow gear into the car to dry and we dried the mat later. Also, I purchased the floor mats from this brand, and they have come in handy for kids dropping snacks on the floor and tracking dirt, sand, and now snow on them. This is the best accessory you can purchase for your new vehicle!.
The liner arrives rolled up in a box and once it is unpacked and opened, it remains folded up.
We looked at Weather Tech initially, but didn't like the price. These liners have excellent reviews and are USA made as well. According to the included instructions, I placed the curled liner outdoors in the sun to restore its flat shape. After about 20 minutes, it returned to original shape.
The fit could be better but the quality is very good for the price. In other words. We offer better spill protection with Rands
Updated The tailgate closure issue was the result of a poor fit that caused the tailgate to slide around. We recommend buying Choose from softer materials which fit better, as well as many options.
I was able to use this on my 2020 Explorer perfectly. Camping equipment is a frequent item we carry, and it helps to protect our cabin.
Whenever I go outdoor trekking, I want to keep my brand new explorer moist-free from the mud accumulated from my boots and gear. Liners like this provide a great deal of support and make shoes fit well and look nice.
My new vehicle was snugly fit with this product. A quality that is right up there with Like Weathertech, this product is also made in the USA. A very nice product, in my opinion.
Despite being rolled up in a box, this product fitted perfectly to our ST after rolling it out in the sun for 5 minutes. A 2019 Edge ST with WeatherTech mats was recently delivered to me. I'd buy them again without a second thought even though they were a little more heavy duty. I got a lot for my money with this purchase.
