I bought my 2018 Short Bed (5. I purchased my 2018 Short Bed (5. 5 feet), Double-Sided-Sided-Sided-Sided- Cab Taco has been around for about three months. After about a month of ownership and a few hauls, I realized I needed something else. Mat for the bed that does not slip. The Taco's plastic bed is unbelievably smooth - it doesn't matter if it's wet or dry Cargo is far too easy to move around. When crawling around on the ribbed plastic surface of the bed, your knees are killed. I began to seek answers. I found this OEM mat after doing a lot of research. There are advantages and disadvantages to every product. It's the same with this one. However, the disadvantages are minor and, at least in my case, do not affect my decision. Please continue to read. Advantages: br>br> The mat was almost perfectly sized for the bed and wheel wells. The mat fit perfectly from the front of the bed to the tailgate. Between the end of the mat's rubber and the end of the bed, there was about a 1/2 inch gap, leaving the bed exposed. I didn't mind the light because it meant I didn't have to cut the mat down to size so it wouldn't get in the way of the tailgate opening and closing. There were plenty of cutouts for the bed clip points. A ribbed line runs around the outside of the liner to keep it from ripping. Despite the fact that it is only 1/4 inch thick and made of a non-toxic material, rubber that is slick and long-lasting (think high-performance tires) I don't think tears will be an issue if you use good tire rubber (you'll be in the ballpark). The mat will be able to withstand a lot of abuse. To keep the mat from moving, it has raised rubber knobs on the bottom. If water gets into the bed, the knobs will allow it to drain. The Taco logo is emblazoned across the top of the mat, which also features ribbing for added grip. With this mat in place, your cargo will stay where you put it, based on usage and excluding rolling. Finally, crawling around in bed is a lot easier on the knees with this mat in place. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. While the mat fit the bed well, the fitment around the wheel wells isn't perfect; however, the fitment issue is so minor that no one would notice (at least for the mat I received). Another minor gripe is the mat's cut. The cut on the bottom outer edge of my mat is a little rough in some places. The problem is not visible from the top. Furthermore, the rough cut has no effect on performance. General: br>br> According to Amazon's fitment guide, this mat will not fit a 2018 Taco Short Bed. The information in the book is inaccurate. The evidence can be found in the photographs. It is extremely well-suited. Other reviewers also included photos of fitment, cut, and quality issues, which, to be honest, I didn't have, at least not to that extent. Others have pointed out that the mat is shipped in an unusual manner (i. e. , tightly rolled and stored in a long box), you'll need to lay the mat flat in the sun to prevent it from curling up in the bed. That was sound advice, and I followed it up with my own. I unrolled the mat on my garage floor on a hot day, flipped it over, and re-rolled it. It was rolled, then unrolled and laid flat in the back of the truck bed. The mat was almost instantly flattened. The mat had become perfectly flat after a day in the sun. The mat has remained in the same spot since the first haul (two months ago). br>br>Is it a good idea to buy it? The gist of it. without a doubt If you own a 2018 Short Bed (5. 25 ft. ), you'll want to read this. If you have a 5 ft) Double Cab Taco and your cargo is doing the electric slide in your truck bed, the mat will solve a lot of your issues. The only reason I didn't give the mat five stars is because of some minor rough cut issues. Most products do not receive five stars from me. Please don't let the four-year-old get away with it. Do not be put off by the presence of a star. You will not be disappointed with your purchase. If I need to change my review for any reason, I will do so as soon as possible. I'm sick of Amazon claiming that almost every Toyota accessory will not fit my 2018 Tacoma when it actually will. This is a perfect fit for my 2018 SB Tacoma. It's extremely thick, and it's sitting on top of my stock truck bed liner, which I didn't want to get messed up with or have things sliding around in. This is advantageous because items will not slide around. Expect it to arrive rolled up in thick clear plastic rather than in a box.

Finally purchased the OEM short bed mat for my 2011 Tacoma (which still looks and feels new) and am extremely pleased. I can finally put things in the bed and have them stay in place! Apart from the fact that I wish it had been a 0, there aren't really any cons. Although the material is 75" thick, it is only 0. 75" thick. Even though the material is only 5" thick, it is extremely tough. My personal'should cost' came down to how much I was willing to pay, which was around $90 including shipping, so I bought it. I've never seen a new one for less than $96 shipped. If you're considering purchasing a $30 piece of stall-furniture, think twice. If you're thinking of cutting a mat to use as a bed mat, reconsider - You probably have more important things to do, and it won't be nearly as good as this mat! Advantages: br>br>
1. Without the need for tying, sticky/tacky material will grip all items with flat bases. down.
2. For a perfect fit, each item is cut to order.
3. Mat is made of extremely tough rubber and is most likely reinforced. It also serves as a 30 to 40 pound snow-removal bed weight. areas.
4. The appearance is ideal for both Gen 2 and Gen 3.
5. We've found a Toyota OEM supplier! br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product.

It's just right! Purchased for the 2015 Tacoma Double-cab pickup truck. cab. There's no need to trim anything. It prevents items from sliding around on the bed, which is all too common. One of the first things you should buy for this truck is a set of wheels. There are no regrets in this case.

I purchased this as a return/open box at a discounted price, figuring I had nothing to lose because Amazon has an excellent return policy. Well, I own a 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport 5 foot short bed, and this item says it does not fit my vehicle on most Toyota websites as well as Amazon. However, after reading the reviews and seeing that many of them said it would fit my vehicle, I decided to take a chance. When I first opened it, it looked brand new and fit perfectly in my Tacoma. I was able to purchase this because of Amazon and all of the positive prior reviews, and I am extremely pleased.

Don't be fooled by Amazon's car compatibility guide. It is compatible with the 2016 double cab short bed truck. It also appears to be quite beautiful. Very thick and durable rubber that aids in keeping things from sliding all over those slick composite beds!.
