Selected User Reviews For Jeep Grand Cherokee Heavy Duty Rubber Cargo Area Mat
The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk has excellent interior floor mats, but it lacks a good trunk mat. The metal bars that run along the trunk area also cause everything to slide, which is extremely inconvenient; however, this Jeep mat solves that problem! Weather- I was about to buy it. It's cool, but it's a lot more expensive and of lower quality than this (surprisingly) OEM Jeep mat that goes with the Trailhawk mats. It's a thick, high-quality material. It took me less than a minute to unroll and lay flat and install. I would strongly suggest it.
For more information on 4 stars, read the review. I looked at a lot of cargo mats before deciding on this one based on price and reviews. It only took a few days for the mat to arrive. It was rolled up like a poster, sealed in a plastic bag, and shipped in a stiff cardboard box. When I first opened the package, I expected to have to lay it flat for a few days to settle it, but that was not the case. When the mat was rolled out, it was instantly flat. The rubber material is dense and appears to be very durable, and it fit perfectly in my Jeep. The underside of the mat has small nubs that keep it from sliding around on the carpet. This is a significant improvement over the vexing back rails that allow everything to slide forward and back, colliding with the rear hatch when exiting an intersection. br>I read reviews in which some people praised the lack of a lip on this mat, while others complained that it didn't have a lip to catch spills. Okay, don't whine. Take a look at the specifics and customer feedback. There is no lip on this one. It's fine. br>At first, the smell of this thing was quite unpleasant, with a strong rubbery odor filling my otherwise spotless Jeep. I was concerned, but after a few days, it had passed. I can't detect it anymore. br>Because of the way it fits over those stupid rails, I'm only giving this mat four stars. In an ideal world, there would be channels molded into the underside of the mat to account for the rails, allowing the mat to lay completely flat. Unfortunately, the rails cause the mat to rise slightly, allowing you to see the rail locations' outline. It's not a major issue. I understand that making a special mold for the underside of this one model mat is probably not cost effective. It was just something I thought was worth mentioning. Even knowing this, I'd still buy it. Again, this is vastly superior to having nothing at all. And I can't say I'm disappointed with the price; it's a good investment.
Despite the fact that this cargo mat is listed as being for 2011-2012, The part number for 2015 Grand Cherokees is the same as for 2016-2017 Grand Cherokees. 2020 In our 2020 High Altitude model, this was a perfect fit. The mat's underside has pointed "feet" that keep it in place while driving, so you don't have to worry about it moving around. The mat did not have a strong rubber or chemical odor, which is an improvement over the stock Mopar all-weather mat. After four years, the weather mats in our 2016 Jeep Wrangler JKU still smell like rubber. This cargo mat is highly recommended for maintaining the appearance of your cargo area carpet while preventing cargo from sliding around. Plus, it was over $30 less than what Mopar or the dealer would have charged.
Fits perfectly on the 2017 GC Trailhawk. Our 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk had a serious issue with cargo sliding around and causing a shambles. We added an elastic cargo net and some compartmented storage trays to keep things from falling out when the liftgate opened, which helped a little but still had stuff sliding around on the carpet and those metal tracks, so I bought this. The price on Amazon was significantly lower than the dealer's, to the point where I wondered if it was genuine OEM, but that concern was quickly dispelled when I opened the Amazon box. This is the genuine article, folks, and it's as tough and heavy as you'd expect from a Jeep product. It fits perfectly, and I knew right away that we wouldn't have any more problems with cargo sliding around in the back and possibly damaging the subwoofer. It has a deep pattern that should be able to withstand any rain or mud that gets on it from your gear, or even that leaking milk container in your groceries. The rough surface catches on things and keeps them firmly in place, so much so that storing your gear requires some effort, which is a good thing. In a nutshell, it's original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and better than you expected. Buy it.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee is a perfect fit for this accessory. Before you put it in your Jeep, I recommend letting it air out in your garage for a day or two to get rid of the rubber smell.
This mat is one of my favorites. It appears to be a good fit. Others have complained about a gap, which there is, but I don't think it's a problem. In my photographs, you can see how large the gap is. It's far more well-made than the more expensive Husky liner. br>br> It's quite effective. br>br>(2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee) (I wish I could keep mine as spotless as everyone else's in the photos. ).
It's basically a perfect fit for my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (it hasn't settled down yet because I just unrolled it from the box in the picture). The quality is excellent, and I am very pleased. While the mat does not extend all the way up the sides of the cargo area, it does have a recessed area where minor liquid spills could be caught. I don't believe there is a better cargo mat for the money. The mat slides a little on top of the chrome bars in the cargo area's floor, but only about 1/2-inch. It isn't a problem in the least. br>I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. There's no reason to spend more money on a more expensive model. The "Jeep" logo is also in the middle of this one, which is pretty cool. EDIT: br>br> I just noticed that the chrome bars on the cargo area floor can be easily removed. The nuts can be accessed from underneath, and the bars can be removed in 5 minutes. The result is a perfectly smooth mat that grips the carpet tightly and does not slide! There will be some small open holes where the bolts were, but you won't notice them once the cargo mat is installed. Simply save the bars so you can reinstall them if necessary.
