Questions & Answers

It's not clear how to use the display in the manual. This is what the unlock key does. Temps are selected as soon as they are selected. Is there a need to lock that key?

In order to keep the buttons on the refrigerator panel secure, they are automatically locked after five minutes of not being operated. To unlock the "set" button, you have to hold it down for more than 5 seconds. After that, the temperature can be adjusted.

is the size of a 30 quart bag? When it comes to how many bottles of water it can ?

Number of quarts * Dimensions of the outside surface 120 * 60. 80/12 = 80. It measures 97 inches in size from top to bottom It is 399. This item has an 80-inch width and a 30-quart capacity * Dimensions of the outside surface I am 68+12. This is 80x15. The interior dimensions are 50 inches wide and 50 inches deep The 78*9 factor. 76/12 = 76. Size 4 inches

Unless your cigarette lighter itself has a rating for 15 amps, does it have to have a rating for 20 amps?

I don't know what the answer is, but when I had my fridge plugged in the voltage was in the mid to low 11s (car ignition off) and when it was turned on, it jumped up to the mid 12s. I'm sure anything newer would handle it just fine. I believe it would work with any car that has a 12V or 24V electrical system. I've had this on a 25 year old SUV.

Budget Portable Overlanding Fridge of High Quality! In a nutshell As I previously mentioned, I received my BougeRv 30qt fridge/freezer last week and I am thrilled with It took me a while to decide to buy this fridge, but ultimately I did
5/5

In the past few months, I have been looking at a wide variety of options for overlanding with my kids. I hate dealing with ice, so I have been looking into a variety of Since Bougerv isn't the only company selling budget friendly portable fridges, I made sure to check out several of those. In the end, I decided to use them because it was my second purchase with them, I have a set of crossbars, and I had a pleasant experience with their customer service. My shopping experience will be more enjoyable if I know that.

I just received my fridge and I can tell that they put effort into packaging. Within three boxes, the box was set tightly with foam around it, then inside three more boxes. My first reaction to the fridge was to be very pleased with the way it felt out of the box. Despite its apparent cheapness, it does not feel that The door feels like it seals really well when you shut it, and it has a nice heft to it. I really like the display, it's okay, no crazy things, and I am pleased that the plugs all seem to be good quality. Another thing I like is the 2 year warranty on the compressor. There are two modes for the fridge, Max and Eco so you can decide if you need the fridge to be cooled down quickly, or just kept at a constant temperature. In addition to that, the battery protection is one of the most important features. The fact that the Cherokee will be able to go camping and overlanding is huge for us. It is possible for you to set the battery protection to shut off your fridge when your car battery starts to get In that way, you don't wake up to find your fridge killed your battery to the point that your car will not start. After shipping, the refrigerator was left upright overnight before I turned it on. That is because it was recommended to leave it upright for 12 hours To see how much time it would take to cool down, I measured how long it took. At first, the temperature was 64 degrees F, then I set it to 39 degrees F. To cool it down, 17 minutes were needed. I expected it to take longer than I did. In the end, I tried to cram as much as possible in there. The amount of stuff I was able to fit was surprising. I had room for three packages of Kool aid Jammers, three packages of lunch meat, one package of boltoni, one block of cheese, one package of string cheese (30 count) and three Even with some extra room, I was still able to fit everything. That would be a reasonable load for us since we are a family of five. As a matter of fact, I think the refrigerator is exactly what I wanted when I bought it. Evidently I'll have to wait and see how long it lasts and if I have any problems moving forward. As far as features go, it doesn't have any frills like mobile control, but I don't care because my phone works fine with it. There is no reason why I would not recommend this fridge to my.

It runs quiet, cools fast, and consumes a small amount of In a nutshell The freezer I just received has been sitting upright since the day it arrived
5/5

There was a bag, foam all around, and heavy duty boxes in two heavy duty boxes in which it was packaged very well. As soon as I opened the box, I thought it was appealing. All the accessories were there as well as two extra sticks- This type of rubber foot is on rubber. It took only about 45 minutes for it to go from 70 degrees in my kitchen down to 0 degrees after being plugged into house power. It had started to freeze the water inside the bottle I placed inside. After I switched it over to a small solar battery I switched it to the eco mode and it would run for five hours on a 150 watt-power source It is extremely quiet even in maximum mode even after hours of use. This bag is pretty light, easy to carry, and comes with handles that are comfortable. It also has a USB charging port by the controls so you can connect a phone, light, or any other device you need. Having made this purchase, I am extremely pleased with its performance and value. The RV is my second purchase from BougeRV A few months ago I bought their 170W solar panel from them, but there was a short shipping delay, so BougeRV sent me a free 180W panel and 30ft cable pair to make it up to me.

The small sailboat will benefit from the addition of this sail
5/5

The icebox on my 30 foot sailboat requires ice loading prior to going out on a cruise. If the box is properly managed, 60 lbs of ice will last about six days if everything is pre-cooled before being put in the box and nothing warm is In addition, the number of cycles between opening and closing needs to be kept to a minimum. For the past 20 years, I have had to deal with this hassle. As a result of the hassle factor, hole cutting requirements, and space issues, I have not been enthusiastic about converting to a box refrigerator. As these compact 12-volt DC coolers reached maturity and looked decent, I decided to purchase one. I thought it would be a great addition to my ice box and can be easily removed for road trips. For my application, I selected a supplier who had decent reviews, was the lowest cost, and was the correct size. A good size is neither too small nor too large. It began as a cooler/freezer combo, but the prices soared significantly, so I noticed this unit had its own entrances and thought perhaps I could set it up so that it could deliver the benefits of a cooler/freezer clone once the temperature was Therefore, before I could continue, I had to install cigarette lighter outlets that could power the cooler's current draw. In a car nothing is wrong, but on a boat most cigarette lighter outlets are wired for low power, and the two I had were unable to handle the load, which can be as high as 5 amps at times during compressor startup. When the compressor is running in its max mode (not eco), the unit draws about 3 amps. In the absence of a compressor, the energy consumption is drastically reduced. It seemed that I was seeing around 30% compressor on time in 70-degree temperatures I am 75 degrees in the As a result, I was pulling approximately 2 amps on average, or 24 watts per hour. This performance was great for me, however I anticipate summer temperatures will result in a significant increase in power usage. A sailors' attention is drawn to these numbers because we must rely almost exclusively on a battery bank and sun or wind power to charge our batteries. The bottom line is that I'm satisfied with the power consumption results. There is a note of importance for anyone using a lighter other than a standard car one, which was designed to handle greater currents. My cigarette lighter outputs would turn on when I connected them to the boat, but the unit would shut down after a short amount of time because the input voltage was rapidly decreasing, so that the low voltage protection would kick in and shut the cooler down. As it turned out, the wires connecting the cigarette lighter socket were of such a small gauge that as soon as they were loaded up they began dropping the output voltage to an unacceptable point. You will want to choose a wire gauge that will minimize the voltage drop between your cooler and your batteries if you are rolling your own outlets. In the end, I used 10AWG wire, where I probably overdid it, but I wanted the cooler to see the same voltage levels as the battery did. It is pointless to mention all of this unless the unit works well to cool or freeze. Based on my experience so far (used the cooler 24/7 during my last six-night cruise), it manages that extremely well. In the same manner as I had planned, I used the center divider to form a refrigerator/freezer combination. As I loaded my frozen stuff into the compartment next to the control panel and my beer into the other, I set the freezer to 25 degrees and waited for it to freeze the beer or thaw the frozen stuff. They both did the same. Beer kept cold as heck, and frozen stuff kept An outstanding performance. It was a pleasure to work with you. The power consumption was good, cooling performance was good, and there was no outside noise (but I have a poor hearing spectrum). The construction can make it work as a combo cooler-freezer, is lightweight and portable, has a relatively low center of gravity for a good tie down (a benefit of lighter weight for sailors), and notable physical properties like easy access to the door and controls. There are some controls to get used to, and you'll have to experiment a bit to figure these Please note the following to the manufacturer You should hire a native English speaker to do a video explaining how to use the controls (or a video in whatever language with English subtitles). It is, as usual, mostly gibberish in the delivered manual. It's true there are third party videos online, but manufacturers, come on, this isn't hard - you have a great product - how hard can it be to provide clear So, let's finish off with a discussion on As far as size, weight, and capacity are concerned, the 30 Qt appeared to be an excellent choice. In terms of capacity, this is a small vessel. There are just a few cubic feet in a room. You might imagine a cubic foot to be small, but it is actually more room than you think. First, cool or freeze your stuff before loading it (and I am speaking specifically to sailors here) you can also do the initial cooling by using shore power with the 110 VAC adapter, but if you can avoid it, you should not be doing the initial cooling of your batteries. The pre-cool is especially important if you're going to throw in a cooler or a freezer. When you freeze something, I suspect that you will freeze everything in the box, but if you pre-cool, you can find that Magical "Goldilocks" temperature that keeps the two compartments cool but not frozen. The Cornish game hen I kept frozen solid for the complete 6-day gathering was kept frozen solid for the whole period. In spite of this, the beer was cold and the hen was frozen when it was put into the box before it was transported. Getting back to space is now possible. On the cooler side of the cooler, I stuffed 9 16 Oz cans of beer with just a bit of room left to stuff something smaller. Two steaks, the cornish game hen, a tray of sausage, three lamb chops, Mounds cereal, and a big bag of M&Ms were in my freezer is a protein that has no fat (taste it, all of a sudden There is also a substantial amount of space left over. It wouldn't have taken me long to add a couple of bags of frozen vegetables. Having now lived with this system 24/7 for six days, including its full capacity of 200 watts of solar panels and running on my house batteries, my first impression Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the performance, size, ease of use, and appearance of the product. It is only a matter of time before the manufacturers prove if the unit will last in the long run, but the manufacturer provides an upgrade to a 3-year warranty, which gives us some assurance they have built some longevity into the Up to now, I can't think of anything I would change about this unit. I think it's great. I just finished another six day cruise with it in full operations. Now that summer has arrived, the temperatures are high We are in the middle of the day at 95 deg F, and the power consumption of the unit has increased slightly, but not a great deal. The current I was pulling in cooler temperatures (70s) was about 2 amps per hour. The answer is either 2 or 5. The power consumption will be 75 amps now that the weather What is causing the most hassle for me is trying to decide which I want -- a freezer or Using the split compartment can be kludged so it can be used for both as explained above, but it is a hassle if you have to keep checking to make sure the beer doesn't get frozen or the steak doesn't get thawed. When and if I need ice, I am leaning toward a freezer that would allow me to make ice for the original "box. " It is, of course, a good thing to have this problem. . . Can I handle cold or colder temperatures? Although I have not used this device already, I see no reason for it to cause a problem in a car. All that you need to do is manage the power input so that you don't drain the car battery too much, as it is not designed to handle deep-cycle usage. It would either be best to bring it to the hotel room and plug it in or to freeze something inside the box (like a gallon of water) to keep the interior cool until you can start the car the next day when you can power up the battery (actually the alternator output). The following is a notice to the A small automatic light could easily be added to the interior for a very low cost. There is no doubt that this would be useful. If the user decides to turn off the light, so they won't have to risk losing their night vision when they need it to be dark, the settings should allow them to do so.
