Questions & Answers
Due to safety reasons, it is not a good idea to cover the airbag. Quite simply, because the airbag punches through the CENTER of that rectangular panel and does not open like a door, if it deploys, anything stuck on top of it becomes a projectile.
100% RTV Silicone Adhesive will be included in the package, which is always the best solution. Several 100% silicon adhesives can be purchased at a hardware store if you need extra.
The color code on the code panel in the glove box may be found by looking at the bottom 3 numbers and the last 2 numbers
If I ordered Black or Ebony, I would like it black. I had no problems matching the interior of my 2012 Chevy 2500HD with this.

Although it was not in the instructions, I used 120 grit on the underside of the dash itself near the corners to help the glue adhere. In order to install this part effectively, two people are needed. The silicone they provide can drip and get on your vehicle, so you have to get it in place fairly quickly. My process for dealing with the sand was to buy a 60 lb bag of sand from the home store and divide it into a baggie roughly the size of a gallon and weigh it down evenly with it. I found that it is most difficult to install near the doors and AC vents, from where it wants to stick To help keep the vent down, I used a 2x4 with towels on both ends wedged between the vent and the seat. Regardless of how much painters tape you use, it would not hold. Generally it looks nice, and I'm very happy with the way it turned out, however I reduced the star rating for the two pieces near the A/C vents which should have rounded edges, but are rather jagged instead. Because of that and the fact that it is hard to keep those parts down, I took one star off.
I found the dash cover to fit my 2009 Suburban very well. Though the texture of the picture is slightly different from the original, it still looks pretty good. Because I put it in, I can tell it's aftermarket, but I don't know how long it's going to last There is good reason to doubt anyone else notices.
Installation went well except for the following glitch When I was positioning the dash cover, I got some silicone adhesive on the airbag To clean it off, I had to put some effort into it. If you plan to install the dash cover, I recommend masking off the airbag cover first. My concern was that the hard plastic dash cover would vibrate or pop if I hit bumps, but it does not. Since I put the dash cover on, I think there is less dashboard noise. My 9 year-old was very pleased with the tutorial and the instructions were easy to follow, so overall I'd say the $185 I spent on this was quite the bargain You will have to wait a few more years for an old vehicle to wear out.
It looks like you have covered a junk dash made in Mexico with more junk I presume Its texture is like that of a pebble grain, this thing is like a bed liner. You won't be encouraged much by seeing the dash on your $52,000 truck look like it belongs on a junkyard car if you're already discouraged already. This happened to me and I wrote to GM, and I got a kind response saying "sorry about your luck". We had to hold the outside edges of the dash in place with sticks and tape to prevent them from popping off. It makes sense to simply buy this because your old dash was cracked (mine was at 70,000 miles) and is therefore It isn't touching everywhere since it is only half enough adhesive. It would be best to use a real adhesive like 3200 or 3 m tape and a lot There is still an annoying rattle in some areas of the dash due to the cracked part of it being low. While GM should have reopened the investigation and done the right thing, they will continue to get away with it as usual when politicians are in the pockets of corporations. I'm so depressed! This is a 1994 Ford work van that never saw an ounce of care and is in excellent condition! I'm so depressed!.
I'm not alone in having a cracked dashboard - there are a lot of us out there, and Chevy still has not recalled the dash. Thank you for making this incredible product. far, this product has been proving to be quite a great Upon receiving it I was amazed at how fast we received it. The directions were easy to follow and were illustrated Depending on how many cracks you have to fix first, the prep of your vehicle will vary. My husband actually repaired my cracks first, making enough use of the silicone tube supplied. There will be enough left over for you to take home. Once you slide the tile in place and add weights, and then tape down the two corners, it took less than 10 minutes from start to finish. According to my original, the black pretty close matches the black I ordered. My wife and I were blown away by how easy the installation was and how all the cutouts fit together Here are the only negatives I would have for this product The corners, 1) . You could not get them to stick to the original dash, no matter how much silicone and tape you used. In order to speed up the curing process, I would suggest putting 3M sticky on the dash. There are two issues with this design. 2) The dash can't fit snugly over the speedometer. The lip is noticeable when it is removed. Even though I am a little picky about this product, I still love it. And 3) in the directions, they really should mention Painter's The masking tape we use in school is too thin and does not adhere. Despite all the flaws in the product, I can't find any fault with it. Thank you for making my dash look brand new.
I think this is an awesome It was on Amazon that I found a cracked dash replacement after driving around with one for years. Other than replacing the whole thing, there was no other choice. I was a little worried about how to use this thing when I first got it because the instructions seemed so straightforward. We installed this thing in less than 30 minutes my son and I did it together. My dash is much cleaner now that there are no huge cracks. You should note that this is only an overlay, not a replacement for the dash. Buy this thing if you are looking for a very respectable color match with an overlay for a little over $209. to have the look of a new dash, then you should be willing to pay the price.
I can honestly say that their customer service is outstanding! Originally, I ordered the wrong trim color because of my confusion over the pictures, but when I called them this morning, the representative assured me I got the right one. As well as that, he was friendly and helpful, as well as suggesting that if we encounter any problems installing it, we should contact them immediately. am only giving them 4 stars at this point. Once I install the correct one (which they shipped today - I ordered the wrong one, my fault) I will give them 5 stars. Having done business with them was a real pleasure! If you want to know more about them, please contact them first or go to their website. They are great! * * *Updates A new part was sent over night! I was stunned! Thrilled as well! I have had the pleasure of working with them for many years. Getting the dry fit done last week went well, and I hope to get it permanently placed soon. When we get to do it on Saturday and I have time, I will post pictures of before and after.
