Exactly what I needed for the Honda Odyssey 2005 van I bought
The clip has to be released prior to inserting into the hole, so you must do that. I stayed firm and did not give up It's always right when you insert it the first time. I wish you the very best of

I took off a star for the difficulty in discovering how forceful one needs to push the button.
It's worth noting that they are real and are not cheap imitations like "authentic" products. I was impressed with how easy it was to install them. As a matter of fact, these hooks are the exact same as those on the original Honda. By pulling out the small piece of J-shaped plastic at the bottom of the hook, inserting the hook through the hole in the door, and pushing back the piece, you are done. The J took a little bit of nudge in order to go into the slot, but once it was in, it made a powerful.
The function worked as expected. All the hooks that are supposed to keep the sunshades in place have been broken by my kids over time. It's frustrating to not be able to use them because I have tinted the windows (we live in Florida), but when I've needed them (like traveling straight north or straight south, and the sun is low and beating through the windows) it's been wonderful to have It's now possible to use them again and, as an added bonus, the kids will be able to use them again next time Now that I know where to find inexpensive replacements when mine break, I can fix them fast.
In addition to the privacy and protection from the sun and heat, I appreciate the beauty and design of these windows. A little bit of money goes a long way where I live. Even though I was disappointed when two clips broke last year, being able to get my hands on these gems makes me ecstatic! You can count on them! The multipurpose tool I keep in my glove box made it easy to install each of them in less than 10 minutes. You need to secure the clip (open part of the J facing the window) in place using a screwdriver handle or other tool. It should clip into place. To lock it into place, push in firmly on the center (as it comes out) at the bottom of the clip. I am Ta! Thanks a lot! Happy New Year!.
This extends to the sunshades in our Odyssey as well. In my haste to fix this, I broke it a lot further by accident when I noticed one of them was wobbling. It only took me a few seconds to search on Amazon to find I installed these without a hitch. The price was great and the delivery was on time.
These clips are not compatible with the 2008 Honda Odyssey for holding the Privacy shade curtain as promised. Unlike old-fashioned rubber bands, these are too thin to snap into place in fact they do not stay in place at all, they just fall out of place. I would not recommend them and they are nothing like the clips that I use.
Thanks to my kids, I lost about 3/4 of the clips on my 2006 Odyssey. Easy and quick to use, these clips are a good option. In order to lock these clips into place, there is a small tab at the bottom that needs to be pushed in. Reviewers who said these were not secure must not have properly installed them, as that's my guess. When I gave it a good, solid hit with my fist, the earring was firmly in place.
This is why it lost one star for being slightly loose. To engage the inner clip, you need to push on the outside protruding part of the hook.
