As far as I can tell, the colors were blue and black.
It has a thin, vertical part at the top with a horizontal lid at the bottom with a small, central hole for placing cigarettes. Only when the container is empty does the lid come off. What does smell have to do with anything? You should just enjoy your cigarette!

I like how extra-large it is. Because of its large size, this ashtray is practical It sits in the cup holder, so it is hard to use. I do like the one that came with the new car, though. (not including the top, which screws on) measures 6 3/4 inches tall, and 7 1/4 inches tall with the top in place. It fits perfectly in the drink holder and makes hitting the ashtray a lot easier. It's also nice not to have to look for the small factory one as you drive by. In regards to the "Self-" This function extinguishes a flame Rather than take the car out for a test drive, I chose to test the car at home first. I filled the bottom of the ashtray with 2 1/2 inches of cigarette butts and screwed the lid into place, so the butts would be securely in place. After that, I used the ashtray normally, crushing the cigarettes in the top lid before letting the remains of the cigarettes and embers fall through the hole in the bottom of the ashtray. It worked just fine, so I tried the same procedure with just dropping the lit cigarette into the hole in the base without crushing it. When that happens, the butts that are embedded in the base of the ashtray begin to smolder. As smoke poured from the hole in the top, the apparatus was on fire. In opening the top, I discovered that A thick layer of smoke blanketed the base. The base should be filled with about an inch and a half to two inches of water prior to use By doing so, cigarettes are immediately extinguished as soon as they hit This is a very good product, but it would be even better if the top was a snap down system that kept air from entering the ashtray. It is not easy to remove the label from the ashtray it is also stuck to the ashtray. To make it easier to peel it off the ashtray, I would soak the label in lighter fluid before trying to peel it off.

Having owned this item for 3 months, I am quite pleased with it. Despite the fact that I am not a fan of the item, I was satisfied with it. On the other hand, two days ago, I discovered that the item was curving under the expansion area as if it had been cracked. Tape was used to seal it up, but a replacement has been ordered. Cleaning is required from time to time on this item. As a result of ash and tar building up, the hole in the top becomes clogged, making putting cigarettes through it difficult. Don't waste your money on it. The ashes ignited a fire, and it completely burned and My attention was focused, so thank goodness.
