We are still able to see the light and hear the sounds An extra battery was included with it as well. My impression is that it will last a long time. It appears that the plastic is sturdy & reliable. This is a well-made product.

Useful if you're on the go

It's annoying when ash is thrown back into the car when trying to clean it out with my ashtray. I smoke in my car sometimes. I have found it so much easier to ash with this device while driving because it firmly hangs onto my air vent. In addition to being visible during the day, the built-in light also makes it visible at night. It's great that you can use it as a cup holder too. The coolest gadget ever.
