Since I've had these shoes for about 6 weeks, I can say with confidence that I love them! They are accurate in sizing, comfortable to wear for hours, light weight, snug, and look great as well. This design allows for a comfortable resting position while in the cockpit due to the angle of the heel. Well worth the higher price tag. I feel like I am getting a quality product. I'm glad I spent more on these, as I find them to be worth it.
You wouldn't wear it to casual events because it isn't pretty. Although it may not be ideal for driving a race car, it has many advantages. It is very important for me that the sole is soft. Shoe manufacturers sometimes include a rock plate in their driving shoes Weak soles that are easy to slip on. What is the purpose of a hard sole on a boot that will only be used for short distances?.
My guess is that I need to break them in a bit more, but I expected the soles to be a little thinner to provide a For the price, I would consider them a terrific value, and they appear to be comfortable enough for me.
