When I used the add-on mobile service Amazon offered at the time, I had a few issues. We had a locksmith arrive and cut our key and program the car fob. The following ideas could also be considered Try some of the little locksmith kiosks at your local mall or grocery store. Here's an example Near me in Houston, there is a security stand at Fiesta that provides cut and paste service Developed Toyota, Lexus, Volvo, Ford, and Ford &amp Lincoln controls Let me have the keys to your Honda. Even so, it could be very expensive I just paid $200 to a friend (still way cheaper than the dealer) for a Toyota RAV4 fob that also needed to be programmed to the car, chipped and cut to length.
There are some things to program, but it works really well
It is necessary to have a car key cut and coded before it will work. Key cutting and coding services by a professional. As with all keys though, the plastic case wears out over time. I replaced my original key as it was worn It wears out every time you use the replacement key.

These keys sounded great, and I bought them for no real reason. Nonetheless, I do not know if AmazonQCs these products or not, as I'm a locksmith with 10 years of experience that has been making keys for cars for 9 years. I got a package of these and they did not work. There is a warning so I suggest you go somewhere else. I will not be able to use my money unless my money is returned. These keys have been programmed using an advanced diagnostics T code key programmer on a 2009 accord however, it has not worked. I have repeatedly attempted to program the keys without success. As a result, I had to sell a standard valet key just to get paid. I would suggest you look in another location for an OEM key.
The other thing that we didn't realize is that the key fob has a chip (as is the case with Hondas) that needs to be programmed by someone who has the capability and software, otherwise it won't work. There is a lock shop in our area that offers key cutting for $18 per key, as well as chip programming for $66 (for both I still find that to be cheaper than going to the With my purchase, I am extremely pleased, and I hope this information will be helpful to others as they decide whether to make a purchase.
For a 2008 Honda CR-V belonging to a friend, I ordered this product An example of a vice president would be Overall, we were satisfied with the performance of the Amazon-hosted website A locksmith was able to install the fob, but the case split within 10 months after it was installed. The Amazon Prime delivery schedule was mismanaged on our end for a while It was originally sourced through the internet, however when the locksmith arrived, he was friendly and made the new key on the spot. In addition, he synched both the new piece of equipment and a spare OEM fob accurately and quickly. The USARemotes fob appeared identical to the spare Honda OEM one with the exception of a missing H logo imprint. During the first 10 months when I started the car, the case worked fine until it split apart. It was necessary to replace the case with a case from a different manufacturer. In the attached photos, you can see how the case split and how the longer screw that came with the case I purchased as a replacement was a noticeable difference. As far as OEM is concerned, this is noteworthy Fits like a glove In spite of the case being from a different vendor, the key and electronics from the USARemote fit perfectly into the replacement case. It appears that some vehicles have a transponder chip glued inside the case which must be transferred to the new one. In the case of the subject vehicle, there was none There were only two things that needed to be transferred the key and the In my opinion, I would rate this as a '3' only because of the key and electronics compatibility, but less for the packaging A sturdy case design that didn't last quite as long as hoped. This is an important (but A list of eleven-year-olds used An OEM extra key that has been on the market for a year I would still buy another because of the overall good price, looking at the important difference, and recognizing the importance of the overall good price. The tradition of going out may be an annual one.
While the program was being programmed, they decided the 2nd one would be On my 2013 Honda CRV, they work great once they are repaired and programmed. As with the originals, they work just like that. The deal is very good. Almost two years later, I tried to start the car and the plastic part of the key cracked and fell apart! The metal key part had to be removed from the ignition, which was a hassle. No idea why it's defective, but I had two years of use out of it, so I have no complaints. If I were buying them again, I would definitely get them.
Because my remote has been broken for years, I thought I would be able to swap out the metal portion of my old key into a new fob. I haven't had any luck - There is no way to replace the metal portion of You should cut them as soon as possible. The cost and difficulty of getting them cut have been mentioned in previous comments, which is why we purchased these from Amazon in the first place. A lot of people might break it if they tried.
To find out how to do it, I went to YouTube. This was easier than the other way around.
It replaced the original Honda key perfectly. The locksmith company that I went to cut and program it for me charged me That's not too bad, I guess. There is danger. Reprogramming the key should only take place after the key has been cut and is working in the ignition and the door. After some lubricant and a few turns of the key, I was able to turn it in the ignition and door. After the tech had validated that the key operated physically, the technician reprogrammed it for a larger number of keys.
I cannot use the remote function of my keys. Buying a valey key for too much money is not a good idea. There is no point in using these remote keys. Moreover, you will have to pay for a program to enable the key to start the vehicle, which can only be done at the DEALERSHIP or with a tablet scanner. I still can't use the remote function despite all of that. It is not what was described, so I am extremely disappointed in my purchase. If mine is defective or if I was misled, I would like to know. The fact is, I am a certified mechanic and I know what I am doing, and these do not work as described.
