There could be a problem, so you may need to take the remote to a dealer for them to program
It is fairly easy to program to any vehicle you own using instructions found on the internet if I am able to do so

Despite the fact that it is listed as working with 98-"Centro", this remote appears to have a low level of quality It is false to claim 00 DeVille. I took it to the dealer to have it programmed as I had thought maybe I was doing something incorrectly they were not able to program it so I returned it There is no way to control the car with the remote. Although I did not experience great results from it, it may work for some. Having returned it without a hitch wasn't a problem.
In order to program my 2000 Eldorado, I had to purchase the autel ap200 tool for $70. That much would be paid to a shop, or you could do it yourself. As a result, I am able to service my GM vehicles with the AP200. It is a great value for both.
The perfect translation.
PROGRAMMING IS NOT AVAILABLE FROM A TELEPHONE.
This is the model number on the back of the Deville Keyfob You can reach me by texting the number KOBUT1BT. 2AOVX- is the one on the remote sent You are in G2 of It is easier to program the deville remote back to the car than this one.
The remote cannot be programmed if your only remote is a Cadillac, unless you have the more expensive GM code readers. A Dealers' & A Distributors' Guide To have it coded by a locksmith will cost you between $45 and $75.
It works great and there is nothing to dislike about it.
Everything I had been looking for was here.
