This is the second time I've done it Below you will find them written down. Instructions below have been clarified. I was able to program my 07 Element using the valet key (gray), which means that any working key will do, you do not need a current fob. My only complaints are the instructions (missing a crucial step) that had me thinking my valet key wouldn't work, and the build quality isn't OEM, but it's good enough for the price, assuming it doesn't break or go bad Please follow these instructions carefully As you will not be able to pause in this process, please read through before you begin *1.
Put a key in the ignition and all fobs you intend to use, including the existing ones. As this method wipes all existing keys, you must program all keys at the same time. I will talk about it later, but make sure they are always close at hand. 3.
It is imperative that every door, including the trunk/hatch, is closed. It is also a requirement that all doors There are no instructions for this and it is critical You will be unable to use it if the doors are not unlocked. As a result of this, all steps must be performed without a pause of more than 4 seconds in between. Until step 5, choose only one fob. It doesn't matter which one you pick, you only need to use this one. *B. *B. 3. This cycle should be repeated three I.
B. Turn the ignition to the ON position (the second click after the dash lights come on). To lock the remote, press the lock button B. * 3. Turn the ignition off (do not remove the key)* * 4. Once the ignition is back in ON position, press the remote lock button to lock the vehicle. When you do it right, either the doors will lock or at least make a clicking sound. 3.
4. You can do this by pressing the lock button once on each remote. With each remote, a click should be heard. You have approximately 9 seconds to get through all the I am 6. Take the key out of the ignition and turn it off. It is time to end the program. The number seven. Make sure that each remote is working In some cases, it may not appear to work correctly if you don't wait a couple seconds between each button. br>br>You can repeat these steps as many times as you need until you achieve the desired effect. I do think I've covered everything you need here, but if it doesn't work, you can find a video on the web and combine it with what you've learned here.
Oh my gosh. It is a case with an unprogrammed chip, and I thought it was an empty case. The pair I wanted to buy is now my wish. For some reason, it finally took a week to get the thing to run. A short-term memory issue, blindness, bad programming instructions, and general messed up programming can result. The instructions are the reality. So let me tell you what they are. As I only had intemperate frustration left, I swore I would switch the key one more time and punch the damn button until the battery died. For a 15-second scan, my fob took 15 seconds I tried 20 times to activate the lock but it wouldn't work This phrase is repeated three You need to keep your key out once you hear the locks moving! By the time you realize this, it will be too late. Muscle memory will make you switch the key. The locks move when you push the button again, at that point the locks stop moving. Stop and stop now, for the love of God. Using another key, turn the key to the OFF position, removing it, and hitting the button one more time to ensure it remains activated. You will notice there are 3 positions that are extremely important. Rather than using the ignition key position as "off," place the key into position 0 and turn the ignition on. I will not let you down. Otherwise, the effing MF works and you didn't have to pay a dealer $100+ to fix it. There's no doubt that I need a drink right.
Here is what you need to do Then get all fobs (assuming you have 4 fobs - "F1, F2, F3, F4" )
Second step Close all doors using the following steps The following steps must be repeated three times
1) turn ignition ON ( II )
2) press F1 lock button within four seconds
3) turn ignition off ( I ) (do not remove *Step 5 Turn the ignition to ON ( sign "II" ) You can hear the clicking sound if you press the F1 lock button. If you cannot hear this sound, you should go back to Here's what you need to do next You should hear a clicking sound when you press the F2 lock button. Here's how the seventh step works F3 should lock when you press it, then a clicking noise should be heard. This is the eighth step You should hear a clicking sound when you press the F4 lock button. The following are steps 9 and 10 Hold down the F1 lock button ( this is very important). fail to do this, you won't be able to use In step 10, you will need to If one of the buttons reacts, wait a second (you may need to wait a second or two).
After the key is removed from the ignition, the last step is to remove it I was caught off guard by that last step.
This inexpensive fob can be programmed to work with your CR-V I think you should try it if you don't get too After fiddling with it for a little while with YouTube's instructions (Easy to find on Google), I was ready to play with it now. The instructions in the box do not appear to be credible. For programing, you will need to turn your ignition key to the on position, twist the fob unlock button as well as turn the ignition I repeated the process three times, then confirmed it a fourth time. It took me about a dozen tries to get the signal to work. It hasn't been working for the past few days every time I have tried to lock or unlock my CR-V In the end, though, everything works out. is a virtue, but it does not reassure. A new battery cannot be installed, and it does not look like you can replace it. Consequently, once the job is completed, it is After this one is done, I'm going to spend a few more dollars on something I like better. In the future, I would not purchase this product.
I would like to see instructions that are more explicit. Thank you for reading, I hope it helps someone.
There has to be a lot of ease in programming Hondas
Worked well for me.
Buying a remote control fob for $15 is a good deal. You can buy it on Amazon for $9. 99. A Honda dealer will charge you $100. I'm very happy with it. This is an easy to install program. Your hard-earned money is more likely to stay in your pocket.
