However, it works well
4/5

Almost everything about the system works as it should. Yes, it has a push button start, but it does not work in the same way as a modern car with keyless entry. Not only must you get into the car, but you must also insert the RFID tag into the antenna. br>br>I had expected the system to recognize the tag based on its proximity, but this was not the case. The system is fine after that; keyless entry works fine as long as you insert the tag into the antenna, wait for the chirp, and then start the car. br>br>I wouldn't call this a true keyless start because you still need to hold the key in your hand to start the car; however, once it's started, you can put the key wherever you want. Why not put it in the ignition at this point? It seems insignificant until you try it and realize it's the same as a key start with the exception of the ignition being located remotely. br>br>I'm looking for a way to increase the antenna gain so it can be used as a true keyless start and will post an update if and when I find one.

NOT WORTH THE EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA E I purchased this item for my car in October and had it installed in December
3/5

If you're good with wiring, the installation was fairly simple, but I wouldn't recommend buying this if it's going in a vehicle you use on a daily basis! In March, the system failed to allow my car to turn off, and I had to pull the fuel relay fuse to force the car to shut down. Because the part was still under warranty, I contacted Amazon customer service, who directed me back to the seller. That was back on March 15, 21. The seller gave me a tracking number on 3/23/21, but the tracking still says "Tracking number createdbr>March 26, 04:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03:03 29PM”. I've given up hope of them sending me a replacement unit. I simply went ahead and purchased a new one from a different manufacturer. Please pay attention to what I have said. If you don't want to end up stranded somewhere, stay away from this product.

I installed this in a 1993 Miata and it was a terrible product
3/5

The installation is a little confusing, and you'll need your car's wiring schematic to make sure everything is connected correctly. I reconnected the negative cable to the battery after soldering all of the connections and wrapping all bare wires with electrical tape, and the car started up right away. I tried depressing the brake and pressing the Start/Stop button once to stop the engine, but it wouldn't stop. I gave it another shot and ended up having to re-create it. While the engine was running, the starter solenoid was engaged, causing the starter to contact the flywheel, causing it to grind. Turning the key to off was the only way I could shut it down. I decided to take the car for a drive after it had sat for a few hours, and it started up fine; I then decided to turn it off by depressing the brake and pressing the stop button, and the engine shut off as it should. I assumed that the system had completed its "learning" phase and that everything was fine. I stopped at a store to pick up some items and the car started fine, but when I got home, I depressed the brake and pressed the stop button, and the engine refused to shut off. I was afraid of grinding my flywheel if I depressed the brake and pressed the stop button again, so I tried to turn off the engine by turning the key to off. The engine is still running after I removed the key from the ignition! Re- The starter solenoid engages, causing the starter to grind the flywheel, after I inserted the key and went through the sequence of depressing the brake and pressing the stop button again. I'm not sure what I did, but I eventually got the engine to turn off. Overall, I believe this product would be fantastic if it functioned properly, but it did not. I'm not sure if I got a bad one, but I'll ask for a replacement from the seller. I know my installation was correct because I measured (12 vdc) voltages for ACC, ON, and while cranking the engine over with a voltmeter. On the first try, the engine fired up. If this condition continues, this product is a liability, and I would not recommend it for use on the road! This product appears to operate at random, and I lost faith in the push-button start, so I left the module in place but started the engine with the key.

Quick and simple, the instructions are easy to follow and can be found on YouTube
5/5

I put off this project for a long time, fearful of its complexity and unsure of my ability to complete it. The instructions are very clear, and after a quick trip to YouTube, where I found a number of review and installation videos, I was able to complete the project in about an hour. The only problem I had was that without the key, the steering/brake lock would not disengage. I believe there is a workaround for this; all I need is some spare time to complete the project.

You get a lot more for your money
5/5

I ordered this thinking it would be something simple to try out and that it might not even be good because, after all, it's only $40. So far, I've gotten a lot more than I bargained for. It's a good make-up job. Construction is of good quality. It's also simple to set up and install. It's literally just a matter of plugging it in and it's ready to use. You are not required to program the fobs in any way. Just go. This purchase has exceeded my expectations, and I intend to purchase the upgraded version in the future. I will continue to purchase from this company! br>br>Con: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is not the place You'll need to figure out what your ignition harness color codes are. But that was a piece of cake.

The only drawback is the poor instructions, which are only useful if you are familiar with electrical systems
4/5

The only drawback is the poor instructions; if you're familiar with electrical systems, this isn't a problem, but the average DIYer will most likely be disappointed. br>I installed this on my 1989 Ford Bronco and have created a wiring diagram for others who may be interested. br>br>Here is the wiring diagram for installation, this is for 87-89 Ford Broncos. The ignition switch is located beneath the dash, tucked up under the column. Pull the connector off and insert wire terminals into the connector as shown in the diagram below (make sure they are secure, loop and tape the wires so the terminals do not fall out). Do not cut off the connector! (so it's easily reversible)br>br>in addition, you'll need to turn the ignition lock to the "on" position to unlock the steering column (what you do with it after that is up to you), mine had broken in the on position so I left it alone lol.
