Questions & Answers

Is it compatible with a Elantra 2914?

Yes, this will not work for a 2914 Elantra because I entered the year into the flux capacitor and traveled to that time.

So, if you use the programmer for three sessions, it will never work again?

Yes, you are correct.

I'm looking for the remote's part number. ?

I literally typed in "remote key fob for a 2013 Hyundai" and got exactly what I wanted. It performs admirably.

Is this compatible with the Hyundai Tucson from 2010?

Put your car in the Amazon Garage and it should tell you, but it should work for most Hyundai models, and it did for mine.

So there was no key fab in my car
5/5

I'm sure you're thinking something along those lines. "Why did she buy a car that didn't come with a key fab," you might wonder. It was, after all, a bargain with low mileage and no repairs. So, I bought this after getting a quote from a professional key maker (I'm not sure what they're called, maybe a lock smith?). They gave me a price of $300, so I went with it. Yes, you read that correctly, $300. So I came across this diy key fab and was not overly excited because I assumed it would be difficult to put together. It only took me 2 minutes, which surprised me. It took me longer to walk to the car and manually unlock it than it did to put this in place. I strongly advise you to purchase this and give it a try. You will be given three chances to complete the task. You will undoubtedly be able to figure it out if I can.

Yes! It does exactly what it claims to do! I was unsure if this would work, but it did, and I was able to program the remote in less than five minutes
5/5

All those people who said they had to go to the dealer and pay $50 to get them to program, this product does exactly what it says it will. My Hyundai Sonata from 2006 performed admirably. I highly recommend this product; the product claims to work with a 2007 to 2015 Elantra or Sonata, which is why I was unsure if it would work on a 2006; however, it did, and I'm thrilled that I can now unlock my car with the remote rather than a key, as I've done for so long.

Saves money
4/5

Update: The device becomes completely useless after three or four uses. br>br>At first, I was hesitant, but I took a chance, and it paid off handsomely. My key fob, which came with the ODB programmer, took me less than a minute to program. It took me a little longer to locate the ODB connector on my 2007 Hyundai Elantra, which is located directly beneath the steering wheel and to the right of the dashboard. If you hear a continuous beep, the ODB connector is not properly plugged in. After I tweaked it a little, the green light turns on with a quick beep. When that happens, it's time to program it. That's all there is to it. Hold the lock button down for a few seconds. Any button on your key fob can now be used. In order to save money, I also bought a used one. I'm relieved to say that I haven't made any mistakes.

It was perfect for my 2014 Sonata
3/5

11th Update- 2021: THE REMOTE SIGNAL IS WEAK. . . BETTER THAN THE OEM REMOTE IT REPLACED, WHICH WAS 7 YEARS OLD. It's nowhere near as good as the one that came with my car. The range is much shorter, and it won't even lock my car when I'm 10 feet away without multiple attempts at pressing the button. br>br>From inside my house, I will not use this remote to lock my car. I use the remote that came with the car, which belongs to my wife. MY RATING HAS BEEN REDUCED TO TWO STARS AS A RESULT OF THIS. BETTER THAN NOTHING, IN MY EXPERIENCE. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> (8- 2021) I know it's only been a few days, but I just wanted to let you know that my remotes are still working as well as they were the day I bought the car. br>br>Follow the instructions for programming. CAUTION: Before you test your remotes to see if they work, program one or all of them. If you test after programming the first remote, your programmer will be turned off, and you will be unable to program the second remote. Thank you, Dorman. br>br> br>br>In addition, if you have a door open, the procedure will not, at least on my 2014 Sonata, actuate the door locks while you are holding down the lock button in program mode, as the procedure states. The hazard lights on my car flashed, but the door locks did not turn on. The program sequence, on the other hand, worked for both of my remotes, the one that came with the programmer and the OEM remote that my wife had. It took about 30 seconds for the entire process to complete. Success! CHECK OUT THE PROCESS I USED DOWN BELOW. br>br>A locksmith in the area wanted $160 for his services. 00 for two remote controls to be programmed ($80. 00 each) The total cost for this programmer and one remote control was $63. I paid 00 for it when I bought it here. br>br>Strongly suggested! br>br> As you can see, I was able to save more than $100. 00 in programming fees, as well as the cost of a new remote. That's fantastic, right? BR>BR>PROCESS: BR>BR>PROCESS: BR>BR>PROCESS: BR>PROCESS I typed in the programmer's name: The green light turned on after it chimed. For 15 seconds, I pressed and held my remote's lock button. The hazard lights went on and off. The door locks failed to open. (The door to the room was ajar. ) ) I did the same thing with the second remote. THE OBD PROGRAMMER HAS BEEN REMOVED. THE REMOTES WERE TESTED AFTER THAT. Both remote controls functioned flawlessly. Total time: 1 minute. br>br>I hope that this information is useful. It is much less expensive than having your remotes reprogrammed by a locksmith.

Some Monkeying was used
5/5

The product's instructions are straightforward; Plug it in, wait for the green light to turn on and a chime to sound, then press the remote's button. When I connected this device to the OBD port on my 2008 Hyundai Elantra, I received an error message. When I pressed the buttons on my remotes, I got a stop buzz and a flashing red light, but nothing happened. I was hesitant to keep plugging and unplugging this device because I knew it would only work "up to three times. " I did some googling to see if there was any troubleshooting I could do and discovered that you need to be in the car with the doors closed for it to work (which is not true), so I got the device partially plugged in and planned on pushing it in all the way once I was in with the door closed behind me. I heard a chime and saw a green light as I was aligning the device, which was only pushed in halfway with the door open. I followed the instructions for the two new remotes I have, and the programming worked, though the locks did not cycle on my car, and I couldn't tell if the lights flashed because I was under the dash at the time; I then checked the original factory remote I have, which no longer worked. So I plugged the device back in about halfway, got the chime and the green light, and programmed all three remotes one by one before disconnecting it; they all work perfectly now!.
