It does not work to remotely start the computer! A remote that looks exactly like my original remote is what I ordered. To make sure this was a replacement for my remote, I checked twice. Upon receiving the delivery, I received five buttons on my These come with stickers in the bags indicating they are the four button remotes described in the advertisement. Unless you pay for the keys to be cut, you cannot test the programming. Since the only way to determine if these would work was to spend $30 to have them cut, I did not know if they would work. The interior and exterior functions work, but an important component is missing, the remote start. I now have two new keys that will not provide this premium feature, and I will have to lose.

I purchased these fobs, as did all my fellow Chevy Equinox owners, in the hope that they might help me save It cost $75 to have them cut and programmed by a local locksmith. Several days into using the fob, I noticed that the buttons became less and less responsive. In order for them to really work, I had to push them a few times. The buttons didn't work any longer after a week or two. I decided to err on the side of caution and try it out. Both of them received new batteries before I started. There is nothing. It was my vehicle that I thought was faulty, so I replaced it with the original factory key fob, it worked perfectly. Despite my skepticism, I had it reprogrammed and cut by the locksmith who had helped me with it in the first place. By connecting their device to the OBD II port, they were able to diagnose no problems with the vehicle, nor were they able to reprogram the two key There are times when it is worth it to pay more than you expected. As a result of the locksmith cutting and programming my keys, I got what I paid for. On the other hand, I'm not so sure about the fobs. This is junk. One of the FOBs did not program to work with the car even after I had the blanks laser cut for $25 each. I thought the first time that it could have been a mistake, but when it happened again, I realized that it was done to avoid dealing with the junk I bought from them. I would recommend not wasting your money. JUNK! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PRODUCT! This product feels like it deserves 0 stars, but the system won't let me do that.

It is not possible to remote start the car with the new remotes. I spent over $10. 00 each to have the keys cut before I learned that they do not work with remote starts. For the keys to be cut, the cost is $300. You should not buy these remotes because they are not worth having without the remote start. A good alternative to buying from the same manufacturer is to switch manufacturers.

This product is sturdy and of good quality, even if it does not feel as heavy A key fob that is easy to program and functions exactly the same as the original. However, it's range from the key fob to the car is not as long as the original. The fact that it's not fundamental is not a deal breaker. Ace hardware cut the keys for $5, took it to them and put them on the vehicle They said they could not guarantee the other seven (they did mention that, It took about 30 minutes to get 2 keys and cost me The sleeves for these keys really paid off for me, so I spent a few more dollars on them - Over the course of a few years of car ownership, $40 may not seem like too much.
