I am trying to emphasize the importance of taking the time to read the instructions. Even though it sounds a bit confusing (or intimidating), I was able to follow the instructions to the letter and complete all the steps with ease. Some things I learned my original OEM Key FOB did not have the blinking blue light (as the Simple Key does), so Im not sure if I could reprogram a OEM Key FOB purchased from a dealer or another seller, so the Simple Keys are basically useless. The device is still a good buy considering that it is reasonably priced. I was quoted $209 for a new key FOB, reprogramming, and cutting the key by the Dodge dealership in my town. This test passed. I am glad I purchased this option I would buy it.

Considering what an automotive dealership charges for getting and programming a key, I was skeptical that this would work. However, I have to say that it Despite washing one key (accidentally), I have made three keys since I bought it, and every time it worked fine. Just read the directions a few times before you start, since they can be a bit confusing at first. Make sure you check the reviews of any aftermarket key before buying it, they are not all the same, and you can expect to pay about $40 for a reliable key. Changed out the keypad but it didn't work when I put it back together again with the included key. Big Box had a computer which couldn't cut the key, so the emergency key would have to be cut with the older style machine. Aside from that, this is absolutely worth the money. This is a great product. it to fix the rear end of my 2013 Ram.

Now I can put my factory away and if I break or lose it, I'll have another factory fob I can program. In spite of having a lot more effort to setup than it should have taken, I gave this product 3 stars. It did have an issue where the alternative buttons weren't working (with remote start). Within the box I also found the contacts sleeve for the buttons. Like the main buttons, the contacts must be glued to the unit. I will - My instruction book said there should be lights on the key fob, but I have never seen any. My steps continued to work and the problem was resolved. It would be good if the instructions were updated. I will - During removal of my key fob, the panic button gets pressed by the ignition key slot, due to issues with the button and case.

WARNING! I will - THE FOB MUST WORK FOR THIS TO OPERATE. I will - Programs can only be used on one vehicle at a time. Your friend's vehicle cannot be used if you have the app. I will - It is not possible to program OEM fobs with the programmer.
