The keyless entry systems didn't work on my 01 S-10, but I read that there are two different keyless entry systems used on these trucks, so it might be a hit or miss depending on which one you have.
I had no issues formatting my 2002 'Burb, so I expect the same for the 2001 version.
My mind is not affected by this

This is where the syncing should be done. It just wasn't working that well with my old controller. I have noticed the effect of putting these things aside over the years *)The new ones work very well. It's unclear where syncing should take place. This is what I found when I went to Google. It usually takes 10 to 15 minutes The doors need to be closed for 15 seconds after synching*. Turn the ignition key to start the engine. The power unlock button is found on the driver's side door panel. Press and hold it for three seconds. If instructed to release in Step 5, DO NOT do so. To start, turn the ignition on, then off, then on, then off. (On is just shy of the position where you can start your vehicle, Off is where you can remove your key)
RELEASE the power unlock button on the driver's side of the When the vehicle locks or unlocks automatically, it should respond accordingly. After checking if the locks have cycled, continuing to Step 6 (as necessary). lock and unlock BEFORE the unlock button is released, the vehicle is not in Programming Mode and you will need to start over. The key should be removed, the door should be opened, and the next step should be taken. (4) If the vehicle continues to LOCK and UNLOCK before releasing the UNLOCK button, there is an issue with the system and the remotes must be programmed. In the event that you cannot get the door locks to cycle, then you are turning the key too soon, too slowly, or there is a problem with the system, or your vehicle does not come When the door locks cycle back, continue to hold down the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote control at the same time. You might have to wait up to 30 seconds for this to complete. *Note When you want to program additional remote controls, including the ones you have working, just repeat Step 6.
Originally I bought these because they were meant for my automobile (2011 Malibu) and I would find out how to program them on my own or have them programmed for me. It took me several tries to figure out how to program them and I found out that the dealer has you by the balls. There is no way this price is justified. That's what I'm going to tell you. Because the fobs are the same size and shape in both sizes and shapes as your OEM ones, you can use the original circuit boards from the OEM fobs in the new ones. Most likely, it was not the circuit board that gave out, but the thin and easily worn-out rubber contacts on the inside of the rubber buttons. It is great to have two new remote entry keys that are perfectly functioning! These fobs are identical to the originals, so getting two that match the originals should be an inexpensive solution if your fobs wear out in the same manner. If the fobs are identical to OEM, the principle should work for all types of fobs. There you have the lowdown and dirty that made me feel like a genius for a moment.
It took them no time to arrive. This is an incredibly easy to program language. We were unable to program the first remote we tried, so I gave it 3 stars. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. It looked like we or the battery was at fault. There is still no response after we replaced the battery. Our second fob programmed in less than 30 seconds with no problems! After contacting Amazon (which they were extremely helpful with, they instantly resolved my issue! ), and they are sending me another one! Let's hope one or both of those works! My 2001 Chevy Suburban 1500 is using mine. I will change my rating as soon as I have received these new remotes and tested The final review is as follows Here is a final review of my A set of remote controls was sent to me pretty quickly after that. It took only 30 seconds to program the first remote. I love it! There are now two remotes in my possession, one from my previous order and one from this new one. Here we go, let's try the second remote from the I messed up! Can I just try my luck or are these sets always a 50/50 chance? I have my two remotes I originally ordered, so at least I have those. Last but not least.
My local locksmith offered replacements so I went there. An estimate of over $80 was provided for ONE remote control. Although I thought the price seemed high, they said the new one had to be programmed from scratch, which they gave as a reason for the price being so high. As soon as the person tried to program the new one, my old one started to work again. In the end I chose not to sell my old one for $80 and am happy I didn't get scammed. Last year, the remote gave up, so I was forced to open the doors manually for the first time. On Amazon I recently bought a few other things for my Tahoe, and the remote was one of them. We just received both remotes with batteries for a fraction of the locksmith price! We can tell they are exactly like those we had before, except the item number is missing on the back. Having gone through the process of replacing the old ones without a problem, I don't fully understand what the locksmith was explaining. My new remote is so much better than the old ones!.
I am satisfied with what I got for the price! I had been using the same key fob for my 2002 Chevy Tahoe for 13 consecutive years, and it was beginning to wear out. My old boots are in need of replacement, so I decided to Due to this, I purchased the key fob combo pack above. My Tahoe went into pairing mode, then I paired my original key fob with both new fobs on arrival. As soon as the key fobs arrived, I immediately took them out of the package and started testing. The whole set-up went smoothly and was hassle-free. It worked flawlessly and didn't cause any problems. Compared to going to the dealer and spending 100+ dollars on something you could have spent on gas, these are a great deal if you want to save some money. In summary, it meets all the requirements, it works as advertised, and it is very solid for the price. You have an instruction guide that is very well written if you don't have any expertise pairing key fobs with your phone. Finally, the only con I could think of was the small ring hole which is smaller than my old.
