3M is not a brand. My previous orders of Vvidid junk were a complete waste of my money. I actually ordered 3M instead. There is a 3M sticker on the plastic wrapping it, but the vinyl clearly shows that it's from VVIDIA. Thank you for letting me know I'll get my order.
There is no 3M in this. It came with a bandage that was wrapped in vivid tape. There's a difference between the thickness of 3M vinyl and this. Don't buy it and do yourself a favor.
I would consider the 3M 1080 line as an excellent product, however Vivid sent me a product that was short and at least a fair amount that could not be used. There were only a few cardboard boxes that could hold it which contributed to the damaged edges on the package. Additionally, there was only one piece of tape to seal the box. There was no tape holding the box closed at this point, and the box was basically open. If you plan on buying large pieces, you'll do yourself a favor by buying.
It arrived in the correct size and goes on well, but the packaging was terrible, and it came with a good 6-pack of gum A total of 8 inches has been The roll was falling apart and there were holes on the outside. The backing was detached as well. Before even trying to fit this on my car, I cut off a half foot and threw it away, so I only covered the hood of my car. (I originally intended to cover I was unable to handle it). Because of this, I also stretched more than should have been necessary for a corner on the hood, so I doubt it will be durable for quite some time. I am unsure about how long this will last, but for now it is looking good.
However, it takes skill and practice. I think that's a different story and proves 90% of any tedious task can be accomplished with a little effort. Practicing those very tight corners and in other challenging areas require a lot of skill and experience. I ended up with some ugly spots on my first attempt. No one can see it unless they are close up. As I mentioned earlier, I believe the adhesion is good, but I'll find out for sure the first time I wash my car. This material is thick and high quality enough that it can handle me tugging and pulling and still look good afterward.
The videos on YouTube make it seem easier than it really is, though. If you pull the vinyl too tight or heat it too much, you can get a wrinkle that will not Overall, I was pleased with the quality of the film and how the final product turned out. Whether it will last or not is still to be seen.
Since the paper was already peeling, it could not be used. Following my contact with it, I had to wash my hands. If you really want to watch this movie, stick with Vvivid or Averey Dennison.
Authentic 3M wrap was provided to me. There was a good match in color. I think the most difficult part of properly wrapping a skirt is knowing how to do it correctly. Do your research and use a heat gun if you have curves that are too extreme. This product matched perfectly to the paint on my front lip because it protected the paint from rock chips. To make sure that the cuts were accurate, I used knifeless tape.
