I've just been offered two! Hahaha
Yes, it'll be fine.
It opens and closes by locking from the top (key included), and there was a lock attachment on the swing box to keep it from being stolen (lock not included).
Easy! Any part that ends in "P" refers to the passenger side, while "D" refers to the driver side.

Overall, it appeals to me. However, it is not without flaws. Our functionality is excellent, and it is far superior to the fixed-function version. Toolboxes are hung on the wall. You also need to be able to remove it in order to store your belongings. To begin, I started on the passenger side. The factory GM trailer receptacles are covered on the driver's side. If the passenger side goes well, I might add the driver's side. br>br>Warning: br>br>
1. You can't move sheet goods without removing them on GM trucks (and possibly others) because there isn't 48" of space between the swing cases if you use two. There's barely enough space to move sheet goods with only one installed.
2. I'm concerned about the plastic's tensile strength. Despite the factory box being perfect, the first one arrived from Amazon with a large crack in it, and it appears to be quite thin given that many people intend to put receivers and balls in it. I'm guessing it's made of fiberglass. To deal with this, you could use reinforced plastic, structural foam, or something similar.
3. Because the same box is used for both long and short-bed trucks, there is a lot of empty space between it and the wheel well in a long-bed truck. bed truck, and the mechanism probably wouldn't be able to handle much more length, so it's not a bad idea.
4. The setup is simple, but I was never a fan of the idea of cheap self-installation. Screws are tapped. I used stainless steel rivet nuts as well as stainless steel button-type fasteners. Instead of head screws (M6), I used stainless rivnuts, which could easily be painted to match the bed or bedliner if it ever needed to be removed.
5. The entire thing rattles and slams with every bump because it is made of empty plastic. The mount and box both have a lot of play/flexibility, so when the box is empty, it vibrates a lot, and if it's not soft, it rattles around. To quiet it down and reduce the pounding, I'm going to use bedliner on the inside. Overall, it is the best storage solution in that area, but it could be much better.
Here are some initial impressions after several weeks of using my toolbox and deciding what I want in it:
1. What you put in the box must be deliberate. The space is limited, and a set of jumper cables, a toolbox, two shackles, a tow hitch, and a tow strap quickly take up a lot of it. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br I like how easy it is to get in and out of the bed, how well the pull handle works, and how quiet it is. The only thing that bothers me about this is that A. When I don't pull back my tonneau cover a little, it gets in the way, and B. The case requires something to be placed behind it to prevent it from rotating back into the latch when you don't want it to (this appears to be by design, so it's only a minor annoyance). 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. You'll have a hard time latching the case if the contents aren't low enough in it. It's not bad, but it's a pain to get into the cab when it's cold outside. br>br>Overall, I enjoy the case and have considered purchasing one for the driver's side. They do exactly what they say they'll do, and I'm very pleased with the results - It doesn't take up the entire bed, so I can still use my tie downs, and it can be removed if necessary. I also appreciate having all of my bulky items out of the way under the bench of my crew cab and in a location where I can get to them quickly when I need them.
This is the ideal product for my requirements. I really like how long-lasting it is. I like that it still allows access to the majority of the bed. I also appreciate being able to use my own bed cover! The mounting brackets are made of metal and are incredibly durable. There was no wriggling at all. Ratchet straps, hitch, towing strap, tools, and an emergency kit are all items I like to have on hand at all times. This has allowed me to free up space in my backseat rather than constantly shuffle items in and out of my truck; I'm very pleased with this item and would recommend it to anyone!.
On each side of my bed, I'm attempting to have a SwingCase. I like the idea, but I don't like the packaging. The first one I got was fine, but the second one came with a broken pin right out of the box. It appears to have broken when pushed. I replaced it only to receive yet another defective product, this one even worse. The entire top of the lid was shattered. They wrap this heavy duty mounting bracket in a thin layer of foam and toss it inside the case with no additional padding, foam, bubble wrap, or other padding, so it bounces all over the inside every time the box is rotated. Guys, you have a great product, but you need some help with the packaging!.
This item is not compatible with the 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali. At the tailgate, the hinge bracket is not bent properly for the truck bed. The bedlight and power outlet are hidden behind the bracket. The sidewall is 3 1/2" shy of the bracket that extends forward to lock in the stowed position. To get it to work, I had to modify the original bracket and make a new one, as you can see in the photos. The storage device is quite large, with enough room for several tie downs, a hitch, a tire pump, a small tool kit, gloves, and an ice scraper. For new trucks, the mounting brackets must be updated.
In conclusion, do not be hesitant to purchase. Advantages: br>br> br>* Holds around 75 lbs. br>* Watertight, thanks to the box's lid overlap. br>* When I bought both boxes, the locks were identical. br>* I can still haul things in the bed because it saves space. br>* The installation is good and sturdy, but if you have a plastic bed liner, it will take some time. It's a lot easier if you use a new box cutter with a sharp white blade. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. br>* The case should have some foam on the bottom. This will reduce noise as well as any cracking caused by heavy objects. I used thin grey/black shipping foam that I had cut to size from my Amazon boxes. Foam from a Pelican case works well and stays flat as well.
