Although I can't remember for sure, I don't think we had to drill any holes because my friend isn't too mechanical, and it was fast and easy to install
This one adjusts from 22" to 30" depending on the slope of the ground or the slope of the wall *br>I love it because it is easy to adjust and the handle helps a great deal
I agree! It's great to have handrails on the trailer as they make it so much easier to enter and exit
Mor- is not sold at our store The steps used by Ryde are not available to me, so I cannot tell if it will work for these We designed our solid step handrail specifically to work with this handrail, so it is not a universal handrail.
Selected User Reviews For Lippert Solid Step Entry Assist Handrail for 5th Wheel RVs, Travel Trailers and Motorhomes
Our family recently purchased a travel trailer with Lippert Solid Steps and are thoroughly impressed with their construction and ease of use. We needed a handrail for my wife, who is physically challenged, so we were happy to find this one from Lippert. As well as the ability to adjust the rail up or down without tools, the fact that it would not interfere with the steps leading into the doorway, and the ease and precision of installation, we liked the features. From Amazon, we ordered a few items. The handrail arrived in perfect condition and with all the hardware included on time. The packaging was excellent. In order to get it installed, I enlisted the help of a mechanically savvy individual. Our instructions were read thoroughly before we began and we both agreed that there should be more pictures showing the installation process. In the pro version there is a separate 'stiffener' plate, but in the pre version the pre-frame is pre-fabricated On our steps, none of the holes indicated in the instructions appeared to match the ones in the instructions. New holes were drilled where we thought and believed they were intended, but the plate made very little difference to the lateral stability of the handrail in the end. However, it would be better if it was stronger. As for the handrail itself, it is well constructed, and it is conveniently located so that our steps can be folded with it attached (as advertised by the seller). It would be good to have more space on the steps with the handrail attached, as other users have said.
I found that this handrail wasn't as easy to install as the YouTube videos I watched suggested. To sum it up, I was able to complete this installation with ease, but there might be some difficulty for others. It was difficult to remove the metal screws from the quad SolidStep latch bracket since it was riveted on to the unit. It was drilled out to remove the pins. Due to the fact that you have to drill holes for the bottom bracket anyway, this is not a big The second is I had to drill out all holes in the handrail that didn't fit the clevis pins with a 1/4" drill bit, since none of the holes were the right size in the handrail that I received. It's only a minor inconvenience since you already have the drill and the drill bits. This is the only reason why I haven't given it a 5 star rating. It is very nice and my wife will be happy that there are even more handholds for going in and out of the fifth We should be able to use it for many years to come thanks to its excellent quality.
The product is good, but buy it from someone else There is a lack of customer service at their company. There was a problem with my box, as it was missing brackets to attach to the solid step. Partshawk suggested I either pay to ship it back to get another one or contact Lippert Components directly. My case was not the only one they were unwilling to help. As a result, I called Lippert who originally indicated I should call Amazon, however, they are currently deciding if they will send me my missing parts so it is too early to decide whether they provide good customer service or not.
These steps have been mounted on RVs I've seen. I thought they were a great idea when it came to It seemed too expensive or that an RV dealer would have to install them. Someone paid $1,000 more for each door to be mounted at the dealer on their new Montana fifth It was a good decision to search Amazon, because these steps are a great bargain. They're worth every penny in terms of stability, storage ease and ease of While looking at another step manufacturer's product line, I became confused as to what model would best suit our During my search for a trailer door, I discovered the LCI brand offered the easiest way to determine the right width and an easy installation process. There is a wide range of adjustment available in terms of the lever and foot extension for the door width lock in. As my wife and I grow older, we're more and more excited to discover products like these.
As a result of the thin gauge metal of the side channel that it mounted to, it was not as stable as I would have liked. Taking into account that the steps themselves are quite sturdy, the channel works well for supporting the steps, but not for supporting the handrail, which is very resistant to stress and moment. In order to make the handrail more sturdy, I reinforced the back support and drilled additional holes and added more fasteners. Now, it works well and doesn't shake or vibrate anymore.
handrail did not fit the coach stairs well because of technical reasons. Getting a return label and having to pay $45 for shipping on a part that I paid $80 for, I dropped it off at UPS. I would sum up the customer service response with, "tough luck. ". The company may also suffer through tough luck as a result of this review being read by potential buyers. Apart from the rail itself, this seemed to be a decently made product In my view, it is the company who sold the rail that is at fault.
There are no holes for the hardware in the stair cases, whereas there are holes for the hardware I'm not pleased with this. I had to return it for more than what I paid. If you are unsure whether it will fit, check first! The 80 dollars were thrown away just now! The situation is not good.
Solid Step is a good match for this handrail. The problem is that the corners are held in place with four pins, so it would be quite a chore to remove it when you close Why a handrail could not be designed so that it does not protrude into the steps is beyond me. To begin with, there are only 24" wide steps, and the rails take up an additional foot of the.
