When I mounted the box on the nose of my 7 x 16 utility trailer, it fit just fine while still allowing room to crank the landing gear and open the lid. There should be a 1 at the end of the sentence. It is necessary to leave a 75" gap between the back/hinged side of the box and the rails on your trailer because the hinge design pivots the lid back as the lid opens. The box is quite sturdy once installed. I can stand on it with no noticeable flexing even while I am 185 pounds. If necessary, one can easily stand on it occasionally with no problem if he is average built. It's awesome, y'all should go and buy it!.

Until now, I have never given a review for a product I have returned. With that said, I will do just that today. Especially in regards to the box, it is huge, one of the biggest on the market. As you can see, it is light--just over 10 lbs--and the lighter makes it easier to bring it up to your mouth. It was simply not possible for me to fit everything. * The lid will not open within the footprint that it is standing on. In this case, you will need to add two inches to the depth if you are actually planning to open I was a little surprised Dee Zee failed to mention that anywhere, or even list it on the site. A rep at the company even told me it would open in its own footprint when I called their number. The ONLY reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of this. Despite that, it isn't the fault of the box. I have other products from them, and nearly everything they make will last. I really wish it could have worked, as the next closest box will be more than twice as heavy Minimum front to back size is 22 1/2", Minimum back to front size is 22 1/2 in. . There are only 20" on most cargo trailers, which is unfortunate.

The utility trailer that I purchased is a great addition to my 6'x12' Below are the categories I see as relevant and important to what I wanted/needed APR

In addition to needing a secure container, I didn't want to spend too much. With the DEE ZEE, I got that. A little over $100 was what I paid for it This seemed reasonable to me, considering how large it was.

SIZE We needed a container that was large enough to hold accessories and tools, yet not so big that it added to much to the trailer's overall weight. It worked out perfectly in this particular container The back of the seat has 36 inches of depth Size (front) x width 25" H 75" x W The following are the "18" The volume is 6 cubic feet. STEP-BY-STEP INSTALATION Four screws drilled through and directly into the item substrate, then you are ready to go. However, I will point out one of the self-help books I recommend as well The head of the metal screws they provided broke off when they were tapped. I won't have to worry about rust since it is made of plastic and polyurethane. Last week, we experienced our first cold spell here in NC, so it will be interesting to see how plastics fare in these conditions. This locking hasp is both durable and rust-resistant as it is made from stainless steel. I have not yet experienced any damage to my tools or accessories inside, even though they are neatly organized. While it is not waterproof, it has kept water out of my house when it rained or if I had power. She washed it off with water. In spite of its size, it is actually quite light. Overall, the most appealing aspect of the product was the material it is made from and the fact that it can be locked with a key. Taking into account the quality of the item, I should get a lot of service from it for many years to come. Thanks Dee Zee, you did a great job!.

Waterproof looks like it would be a good idea. It sagged only a little bit in the middle when I stood on the top of it as I am 230 pounds. When I started mounting the box, the sides were holding up just fine.

Then the roof was mounted. To fix the supplied screw to the frame, I drilled into it as required and began to drive it in with my socket. I had to drill the broken screw out of the frame and get new bolts because the screw broke in the frame. To do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result is a sign of insanity, so save yourself some time and purchase bolts with lock nuts for attaching it to the frame instead. As a contractor, I would not use these bolts/screws as these bolts are not worth the cost. The price per piece is $0. 01. It will be worth it in the end! However, I do enjoy the trailer box despite that. As soon as it is in the sun, it will get brittle and need a little more stability. That is why I put a cement board between the trailer box and the frame. The only reason I did this was to be on the safe side.

Also, I drilled a couple of holes in the bottom just in case there was any spillage. For now, I'm going to use this box for stuff I need for the utility trailer, like tarps, ropes, bungees, shovels, and brooms. This is just what I need! I think it's going to work perfectly!.
