The inside is almost identical to the outside in terms of dimensions, but there is a 2" lip where the door seals. Right behind it, it grows in size. In my toolbox, I keep a long pipe wrench. I can get it past the lip if I hold it at an angle, and it then fits.
I used two as topmounts on my Ram 1500, Brent. I have a System One rack that I installed before the boxes arrived, so I needed to make some room on the sides. To bolt through the boxes and secure them to the rack, I used aluminum angle stock. I live in the northeast, and there has never been any water leakage in them. They're well-made and durable boxes. The only problem is that because they are 18"x18," they protrude too far into my bed, so I can only fit sheets of plywood up to the base of the boxes. If you have towing mirrors, you can make them stick out even further. Overall, I really like these boxes, and the aluminum is of good quality. br>R/br>R/br>R/br>R/br>R/br>R/

This aluminum box is incredible value for money. br>It was the perfect fit for my Predator Generator 3500. It's a shame I didn't order the brackets at the same time.
So, before you go out and buy something, take the time to read this. The first melted candy bar weld is on a 60-inch box I bought last week from uws. On the left, the real weld is the buyers box, which arrived today for a much lower price. The box is well-made in the United States and will withstand commercial use. br>Enough said.
As you can see, I have a lot of questions for my boxes. They've carried more weight and logged more miles than you'll likely ever put on them, and they're still going strong. You can avoid a lot of stress and heartache by doing two things. Expect a little shipping damage and a little leakage. They are water tight 99% of the time but pressure washers and tornadoes aren't so much and you can see how dirty my small one is. This is primarily due to the 200 pounds of tire chains that have settled and pressed against the door. The other two are usually dry and clean. They are unbeatable in terms of price, and for vehicle applications, the price difference between aluminum and steel is well worth it. On my camper, I have some much less expensive boxes, but they would never withstand commercial vehicle use.
I don't write many reviews, but I felt compelled to do so for this well-made box. br>The money was well spent. br>Compare to boxes that are twice as large. br>I'm going to use it as a generator. br>Modications are still being completed, but the photos show it in place. br>I am extremely pleased.
There is no sagging, and I've had them for about 4 months. I'm very happy with them so far, and my tools stay dry. When I got home after driving in heavy rain for about three hours, the boxes were dry inside. The only issue was that the mail delivery people liked to leave them on the corner, so I had to tap them out so the door would close properly.
The quality of these Buyer boxes is excellent. It's of excellent quality. (2) The door opening is the largest I've seen from any other manufacturer. I ordered the 60" 18" 18" (2) It can hold a full-size 5gl bottle. 14th bucket 5" tall. All of the others were less than 13 inches tall. The recessed doors add a nice touch to the room. The welds are lovely, unlike the UWS boxes I returned (whose welds looked like melted candle wax), and the UWS box doors would only open about 2/3 of the way before binding up. I've read a lot of positive feedback from long-haul truckers who rave about Buyers boxes. As a result, I placed two orders and am very pleased with the results. From now on, I'm only going to buy Buyers' boxes. Please see the photos that are attached.
My lifan 2500 generator fits through the door ez thanks to the sturdy and rattle-free construction. When the lock is unlatched, it rattles a little, which is normal for this type of lock. I tightened it, and it no longer rattles when the door is locked. It's extremely durable. Using tin snips, I spent hours cutting a large hole. Because aluminum simply folds and melts over, cutting it with a grinder cutoff wheel is almost as difficult as cutting steel. Because this box is so thick, it could take a thief 30 minutes to cut into it if you add more locks. As a result, it's a fantastic package. If you leave the door open in the rain, rain drains through the hinge, which is a great design feature. It is simple to remove the logo. There isn't anything I can say that isn't positive about it. Welds appear to be of good quality. However, it isn't exactly square.
This Buyers undermount tool box is one of my favorites. Construction is of high quality, and it appears to be so. I haven't mounted it yet because my new truck won't be ready from the ground up until the end of the year. Bottom line, I would definitely recommend this tool box, and the price on Amazon was also very reasonable. It's one of the best purchases I've ever made. I'll have to wait about a year to see how long the tool box will last and how watertight it is.
