If it has a flatbed, yes. If it's a regular 3500, I don't think so.
There are no 12"H underbody toolboxes available from Buyers Products right now. They only offer 14" as the shortest height.
The dimensions of part 1703350 are 14"H x 12"D x 24"L. Buyers Products supplied this stock image.
Buyers Products does not provide a one-stop shop for all of your needs. Custom toolboxes are a great way to save money. They may only be able to do custom sizes in large quantities, in my opinion.

as well as Dinged I'm simply disappointed by the price of this box. I believe Buyers produces a high-quality product, and this box had the potential to be fantastic. The lock and latch are incredible, the metal is thick, and the paint appears to be durable. However, they must improve their packaging and delivery methods! My box was simply a cardboard box with no wrapping or styrofoam inside. By the time it arrived at my door, it had been beaten to a pulp. It's horribly out of square, and I'm not sure if it's because it was dropped or because the welding process warped it. The bottom line. Until they improve their quality control, the $200 isn't worth it.
The box's construction is attractive, but the manufacturer appears to be unconcerned about whether you receive it in new condition. The powder coat had chipped off and every corner had been bent out of shape. It arrived in a single, battered cardboard box. Why not invest 40 cents in a pair of corner guards? Am I going to return it? No, because it's inconvenient and I require the box, so I guess that's what they're counting on. The latches must be adjusted so that the door closes tightly against the weather stripping; otherwise, the door will leak from the factory. Get with the program if you're not up to par.
When it rains, the box gets wet. Customer service stinks; they don't respond to messages, and based on other reviews, getting a new seal is also worthless. Look for something else.
It's time to upgrade the shipping materials. When it came to product quality, I thought this truck box was excellent. It was just what someone who needed to attach a truck box to their commercial vehicle or trailer needed. Mine will go on my open car hauler trailer. The metal gauge is thick enough to withstand the wear and tear of everyday use in a commercial setting. Each box weighs more than 50 pounds and is made of steel alloy, not cheap aluminum like some of the other Amazon boxes. br>br>The most serious issue I have is with the shipping packaging. They're using insufficient packaging. One of the corners of my box was bent (other customers have complained about this as well). The manufacturer/seller (Buyers Product Company) may be taking a cue from another manufacturer/seller on Amazon who is selling a subpar product. That substandard product is poorly constructed in terms of material gauge and is easily damaged or bent (it is entirely made of aluminum). Having said that, they've devised a clever/simple method of preventing their inferior product from being damaged during shipment. They simply placed 8 cardboard corner pieces in each corner of the box. Surprisingly, this helped to keep their product safe during transport. Also, this appears to be a low-cost solution? Please see the photos I've attached to see how the corner pieces appeared. There is also a simple fix for those who are complaining about the product's leaking seals around the door and loose latching mechanism. When you receive your box(es), if the latching mechanism is loose, simply tighten or loosen the latch using the adjusting screw(s) attached to the latch. As a result, the likelihood of leakage beyond the rubber seal(s) is reduced. If you're unsure how to do it, I'm sure the manufacturer/seller will gladly assist you. br>br>I hope this information is useful.
BUT! Review of the past year. Many customers complained that the box was scratched and dented when they received it. My two boxes arrived in a plain cardboard box with no padding, but a large label on the box warned me not to drop them and to handle them carefully. My boxes arrived in excellent condition as a result of this. They're built to last, weighing in at around 25 pounds each with thick side walls and a strong locking mechanism. They're being used as a lockbox inside an RV. Please keep in mind that the lock mechanism inside the box takes up about 1. If you think the inside dimensions are exact, they aren't because you have to account for the lock on the inside, which takes up volume. br>AFTER a year of hardly using the box, which had been installed inside an RV, the locking mechanism became jammed, and it was impossible to open it. Because it was still under warranty, I sent an email to customer service. I even recorded the issue and sent it to them. They replied that they would send me a new lock and that I would have to drill out the old one. I repeated that the lock was not broken, but that the clasp on the inside was preventing it from working properly. "To resolve this issue, we will send you a new lock," they responded once more. For $200 a box, I would expect a better-built clasp mechanism and a guarantee from an American company; what a shame!.
I paid full price for this toolbox. It looks great, and I used it to store tools and nails under my flat bed. It's only been a week, but the door doesn't even close tightly against the seal due to the worthless cheap latch. As a result of the rain, my tools and nails are rusted from being wet. I haven't been able to figure out how to tighten the latch.
Because of the low price, I ordered a pair and had to return them due to shipping damage. I saved $700 on two boxes and figured I couldn't beat the price buying someone else's beat up boxes off Craigslist. br>br>Having said that, the only reason I think one should avoid these is their weight (144lbs). Because of this, they frequently get damaged in transit, which accounts for half of the Amazon complaints. br>br>I've also heard a lot of people complain about the latches not pulling the box tight enough or being loose. People who complain about it don't seem to realize that the latches can be adjusted. Simply turn the nuts (which "jam" against the latch, securing it) until they perfectly seal. br>br>Having said that, these are of decent construction and should outlast the truck they're mounted on.
The box had been scratched and dented on the corners and sides. The box is fantastic, but the shipping protection is appalling. It arrived in an unprotected cardboard box. I found a local dealer here in town, and when I buy the rest of the boxes, I'll pay a little more to get a nice looking box rather than saving a few bucks and getting damaged units through the freight system.
