My truck is a 2006 Ford F150 with a 5.8L V8. This is perfect for my 5' bed. I've had it on for the past two years and it's still going strong.
I'm the proud owner of a F-150 from 2018. 150 6. This is a perfect fit for a five-bed room.
Yes, a 5 should be able to fit it. There is a bed liner on each of the five beds. My rating for the year 2008 is a 5. There was a liner in the fifth bed as well.

A fiberglass tonneau cover with hydraulic arms was installed on my previous pickup. Everything stayed nice and dry, and it was secure, but it was heavy and awkward to remove; In the last six years, I believe I've only taken it out twice. My truck's cover simply wouldn't allow me to move anything large, even an appliance; It would only open to about 40 degrees. I had two different rollup covers before that. The struts were built in on one, while the supporting arms had to be sprung into and out of the truck bed on the other. I despised them both. They were a real annoyance, and water always collected on them. br>br>So, when I got a great used 2007 F150 on Saturday, I decided to give it another shot and go with a tri-axle. fold. It arrived today, was easy to install, and I couldn't be more pleased. The cover is 99% assembled and comes in a large drawstring bag that is ideal for storage. (Tyger also includes a small bag of nuts and bolts, as well as a handy little trouble light. ) It took me a few moments to realize that these bolts are replacements for the four latches. )br>br>This cover does not require any drilling, measuring, rails or guides, or a physics or engineering degree. Simply place the folded cover behind the cab, center it, tighten the two front clamp knobs, fold it back, and tighten the two rear clamps. "Surely it can't be this easy," I thought as I stood there, but it was. The entire cover is rubber-sealed around the edges, ensuring that it fits snugly against the truck bed and tailgate. Unless the entire cover is removed, the front clamps remain in place. br>br>A couple of things to keep in mind. Before folding the cover itself, the rear clamps must be folded and closed inside the cover. Second, because the front wall of my F150 bed is slightly shorter than the sides, I used the adhesive foam rubber strip behind the cab. You don't want any air to get in between the front and back edges. Finally, I'll use adhesive velcro tabs to attach to the plastic latches that hold the cover in place when folded. As it stands, they appear to be constantly flapping in the wind (as seen in the photo). br>br>The front clamps were the only thing I changed. The top of the F150 bed isn't rolled, so it's just a bent-over thin metal lip. The front clamps have a large mouth to grip the underside edge of a larger truck bed. I wasn't happy with the bite I was getting, so I cut a piece of fir to 1"x4"x5/8" and inserted it into the clamp's mouth (see photo). This significantly tightened the bite, allowing me to achieve a better seal around the front edge. br>br>Not only will this cover protect your cargo from the elements, but it will also reduce wind drag in the bed, increasing MPG. It's not a security device; it might deter someone from committing a crime of opportunity in a big box store parking lot, but it won't deter someone who wants into your truck and has a box cutter. Aside from that, it's a top-notch product that comes highly recommended.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to submit reviews- This was an incredible deal. It's all too easy to believe that more expensive equals better and less expensive equals worse. This doesn't appear to be the case in this instance. I bought it just before a 1300 mile (round trip) trip. I have a topper that I like in some situations, but I didn't want to bring it with me on this trip. In the event that it rained, I considered simply wrapping everything in trash bags. I'm so glad I didn't go through with it! Tonneau performed exceptionally well in a variety of weather and travel conditions (including about 90% interstate travel). When it rained, there was very little water in the house, and nothing got wet. The F- word is correct. Because the shape of the 150 box (at least in my year, 2004) isn't perfectly rectangular, the cover doesn't follow the same lines. In my opinion, it's not a significant issue. I bought it because it keeps the items covered. Even though most of the gear was in the tent, it was nice to be on the campground. It was a convenient location for keeping the fishing rods out of sight and the firewood dry. It was simple to set up. As per the instructions, I needed to cut small sections out of the rail caps. To me, it's not a big deal. It was simple to open and close the door. The little foam strips that go with the bed rail clamps to keep them from scratching were a little cheesy, and at least one of them fell off or tore. This isn't a major issue. This is something I'd buy again if I had the opportunity.
Rather than paying more at the dealership, I purchased this. Now I'm really kicking myself for making that decision. Do yourself a favor and spend the money on a nicer cover rather than saving the $200. br>First and foremost, installing this cover is difficult. At all. Second, it does not prevent water from entering the bed. That is, after all, what a bed cover is for. My bed is still soaked in water, despite the addition of the extra weather strip. Fortunately, I didn't have anything wet in the bed. Now that I've noticed that this strip doesn't stick to the bed rail, it's even less useful. br>br>To summarize, this is a low-cost product that I regret purchasing. Make sure you don't make the same blunder that I did.
If you want to remove the cover and store it away, it came with a bag/sleeve to store everything. br>br>I put it together myself, and it appears to be fairly well sealed. After we get our first rain, I'll update this. br>br>After installation, the tension was perfect for me, so no adjustments were required; however, I would recommend walking along the side of the truck and undoing parts of the cover and tightening it back down to make it even more snug. br>br>The cross braces are great for cover support; they fit perfectly and roll up and strap down quickly. br>br>Quality is fantastic! br>br>I'll update this once I've used it for a while. br>br>Newsflash- 11/20/2020br>This cover is fantastic. When my truck was parked on level ground after several days of heavy rain, the back of my truck bed remained dry. A few water drops came in from the back of the truck's bed near the cab when it was parked on an incline in my driveway. It was extremely basic. I could move the cover slightly to the back and it would probably fix it, but it was mostly dry, so I'm leaving it as is. I'm really excited about this cover, and it looks fantastic!.
