Questions & Answers

When rolled up, how big is it? Is it small enough to load a motorcycle without the front wheel colliding with the ground? Is it possible to get rid of it?

It's a tad bit on the small side - It could be folded or simply squashed and has an 8" diameter. I suppose it also depends on the diameter of your front bike tire and where the wheel actually makes contact with the cab's back end. However, you can easily secure the rolled/folded cover by flipping it higher and, if necessary, running a tiedown through the middle of the rolled up cover side to side.

I recently purchased a north mountain roll tonneau cover. The back locking latch, on the other hand, will not depress and lock properly. Is there anything you can do to help?

Do you have each of the cams in the notches on each side of the cover near the tailgate when you're locking it down? Rotate the bar down and toward the back and floor of the truck bed once each cam is in the notch, left and right. You must encounter opposition. After that, pull the bar down firmly to secure the cover in place. You should be good to go once you close the tailgate. To unlock the cover, pull down on the rap in the center of the cover and it should pop open. Roll the cover up from the bottom. I hope this has been of assistance.

Is the cover waterproof, and would it be out of the way enough to transport a dirt bike when rolled up?

Dear Customer, our cover is 100% waterproof, as you can see in our store for more information. The inne size of the truckbed is about 151cm when the cover is rolled up, and the diameter of the roller cover is only about 18cm, so the total length of the bike that can be put is about 151cm- 18cm (approximately 130cm).

Is it possible to get larger clamps? I bought a tonneau cover and went to install it, but the clamps were too short and too small for my 2017 Chevrolet Colorado. ?

This is specific to the Honda Ridgeline and will not fit other trucks.

This is a fantastic value for money item that is also of excellent quality
5/5

The instructions could use some improvement. This is a fantastic product. Well- Because the OEM fasteners are quite tight, you'll need a Torx 30 socket and most likely an impact driver. Although one of the allen keys included in the package fits into the Tork heads, removing them with an allen key would be a miracle. br>br>The instructions are deficient in several areas, and I was unable to locate an installation video on their website (there are a few promotional videos, but none that are actually helpful). Here's how I went about it: br>br> Carefully open the package (the cover is rolled up and could be cut if you're not careful) and lay out everything. There's a header rail up front behind the cab, as well as two side rails. Out with the Velcro. The rolling cover includes a rear rail. br>br>There are six clamps with no real explanation of how they work, but if you look closely at the small photo, it appears that the pan head bolt gets a small washer, then goes through the alloy top clamp, then three large washers, and finally into the steel lower clamp. I made use of some anti- seize - You could use blue Loctite, but something else will suffice if you need to disassemble it without it rusting. br>br>Note that all of the lower clamps are identical, but two of the alloy top clamps are labeled R for REAR. As a result, relegate them to the back of the room. Then it's just a matter of putting everything together, tightening the small allen head bolts on each side of the header rail, and sliding it up against the cab. After that, check to see if it's centered and tighten the front clamps. br>br>After that, go to the back and check the "spread" by inserting the back bar into the locking sockets. You don't need a lot of space, but you don't want to be cramped. To make sure it's centered, tighten the rear clamps. Then tighten the clamps in the middle. Make sure everything is secure once more. Pull down on the nearly-invisible black pull in the center of the cable to secure the cover. br>br>Things may be a little tight when first installed - Allow it to stretch into shape by parking it in the sun. To finish, make sure the Velcro is pulled taut and attached.

The fit is excellent, and the price is very reasonable
5/5

I really like how this cover folds up so you can use your entire bed. I bought it to improve my gas mileage and have a place to store things temporarily in the bed that isn't open to the elements or other people. The directions aren't exactly clear. The aluminum "R" top mount brackets do not go in the back, as previously stated. I put mine in the middle and it worked out perfectly; for the factory bed screws, I recommend using an impact driver. In a month, I'll post an update on how this cover has fared.

So far, everything has gone really well
5/5

I was undecided about it and worried that it might be of poor quality. br>br>I was planning to buy a hard cover but decided that a soft roll cover would be better, and it did not disappoint. You can get soft covers for more than twice as much as this, and if it lasts me three years, I'll buy it again. Time will tell how long this lasts, particularly given our harsh winters. br>br>I read what others had said about how useless the instructions were and made sure I didn't pay attention to them. Before attempting to install, I watched a video on how to do so and then read the instructions that came with it, which caused me to reconsider the video and made it even more confusing. Simply disregard the instructions and concentrate on the video. After watching the video, I discovered that it was actually quite simple to install, taking about 30 minutes. However, the majority of this time was spent removing the star bolts. So far, everything appears to be in order, and I would recommend it to anyone.

A Torx bit is required
5/5

For my specific truck bolts, I only needed to purchase one Torx bit; the rest was included. br>Installing Simole It was done in the parking lot of the Home Depot. Clamps that are simple but effective.

This North Mountain bed cover fits perfectly, and installation was a breeze

For half the price, this cover is far superior to the Tonneau cover I had on my 2016 GMC Canyon.
